Now that I think about it, are your villagers also gonna use a pole to get to the other site of the
island? Because I'm pretty sure they will not let the villagers stuck at one part of the island till the
player is able to build any bridges.

Otherwise, I really like that idea of the pole vaulting. I think the pole will not break and is gonna be
one of those items you will get from Nook to explore the island more.

Actually you can craft the vaulting pole with 5 softwood, so I doubt you'll get it from our good friend Tom.

Yeah that would be bad if it broke and the character fell in the river but I think it's more likely it can't break or if it does break it breaks and your character lands on the other side

I could see it snapping and the player landing face first on the other side. Kinda like how tripping works in acnl.

I think you can build bridges. At first, you’ll have to rely on pole vaulting, but once the bridges are built, you don’t have to do it much longer.

My theory is if it snaps you'll fall in the water, and HOPEFULLY auto-swim back to the side with Nooks tent.

Part of me hopes it will not take that long to unlock the option to build bridges. I mean, the pole
vaulting thing looks quite funny, but I wouldn't like it if I had to use this for a longer period tbh. I

I want to create a more Amazon-look for one of my towns (since I'm hoping I can snag another copy of the game a few months after I get used to the game) and it is going to be awesome to Pole vault across my town instead of building bridges so it has a more Jungle theme to it
