What are all the things you hope to start with?

When you arrive on your island for the first time what things would make you the happiest to see? Which fruit, airport color, villagers, map style, etc.

For the villagers what's your favorite Jock/Uchi pair, and if we weren't locked into those specific personalities who would you love to see?

Lastly, will you be resetting for any of these things?

I would prefer:

-Apples (peaches or cherries second choice)

-Teal airport (or blue or yellow)

-For my Uchi I want Reneigh, and for my Jock I'd be happy to see Hamlet, Rod, or Bill. If we weren't locked into Jock/Uchi, I'd still want Reneigh, but I'd die of joy if I saw Wolfgang for my second villager.

-Map, I'm not too worried about. I'll just choose the most interesting of the four choices.

I'm not sure yet if I'll reset for anything. If I load my game up and my heart sinks because everything is wrong, then I likely will, lol. I'm also curious to see if there even is a teal airport still, so I might be tempted to reset a few times just to see if one comes up.

I'm going for peaches again because I don't like the look of red fruit. No primary colors.

I want RS to not be in the middle of a large chunk of land that I want to colonize.

Airport color (cringe) none. :-/

Ideally I'd like a river that doesn't divide the island in to three, but that doesn't seem likely, so a river that has the third branch close to one of the others and doesn't take up much space, or is small enough to fill in via terraforming.

My starters. I don't want any jocks. I don't like them, so I'll amiibo them out ASAP.

My Uchi will be Cherry, or Reneigh if I can start with her, as I have Cherry's amiibo card.

The grass pattern, I couldn't give a crap about.
Triangles will do just fine.

I’m not overly concerned with my map choice, especially since we can eventually change things around. But I’ve never been too particular about my map layout anyway.

Also, if different grass patterns are still a thing, I’d want triangles.

I don’t want to reset and don’t plan to, so I’m trying not to get my heart too set on specific preferences. However, if I get a yellow airport, pears, and square grass it’s gonna be reset time.

Fruit preference: either peaches or cherries! I'd be fine with apples if those two weren't available.
Airport colour: teal! If not teal then hmm any other is fine~
Map layout: I kind of want a heart pond, the hall somewhere in the middle, and I want a west or east river too.
Villagers: If stuck with uchi and jock, cherry and anyone else (I dont like jocks). if any personality, id want to start with apple and nibbles. Got other faves but I want to start with those two


I'm gonna reset to see if there is a teal airport and if there is, I'd stick with whatever was given to me then. If there is no teal I'd reset for peaches! (or maybe I'll end up doing it for both if I'm not too tired since I'm attending a midnight release!)

Fruit: Any, I do like apples but since I had them in New Leaf I kind of want oranges. I'll be fine with anything though.

Airport: A warm color (red, orange, yellow) to go with my name Escapada

Villagers: I just want new villagers I haven't had before. I'll roll with whatever two I get.

Map: I'm picking the map with the most space. I'm fine with a double river, but I don't want any rivers than separate the land small enough to where it limits me. I want to terraform as little as possible. I'd also like a centrally-located town center.

Grass Pattern: I don't care

Resets: NO! I will not be resetting at all. I'm going to roll with the punches and adapt to what I get, deserted island style

I'd love purple! I'm hoping we can eventually remodel it though.

For myself I see a few best options:

Airport: orange or yellow
Fruit: oranges, with all but pear being fine though
Grass: triangle or circle

Map: I?ll think it through more until release, because there are a few features I will have ideal locations for. At the moment, all I know is a preference for a side-exit river (rather than two southern ones)

Villagers: it depends on all the new ones, but perhaps Kid Cat, Genji or Ribbot and Pashmina or Reneigh. I?m not enthused about anyone in particular though?not yet at least.

Fruit: cherries, but any other is ok
Grass: circle, but square is ok. Triangle is an instant reset
Villagers: hoping for 2 I like, but probably won't reset for them
Map: want an east or west river
Reset: definite yes if i get triangle grass, might reset for awhile to see different maps

airport: purple but since that's probably not an option i'm not really sure. i don't like yellow, green is alright, blue matches the ocean too much, and red isn't always my favorite choice. wish there was a brown or something
fruit: i'm not really sure yet but i've been looking to pears more and more because the perfect fruit is a neutral color
grass: triangle
villagers: i like quite a few jock villagers as it turns out so i'm fine with any, and i'm not particularly fond of any of the uchis so they'll probably move out anyway
map: i would like an east and south facing river, and for resident services to be closer to the right of the island

Grass: Preferably circle but I won’t reset for this.

Villagers: Cherry or Reneigh! Or if the new wolf villager is Uchi, she’s my #1. For the jock, I like the sheep. No one else, really lmfao.

Map: Needs to feed into the ocean once in the West and once in the South, and nowhere else. Also needs room for where I want the starting tent to be (and it should be there) and for the starting house locations.

For villagers I definitely want Reneigh as my Uchi. Cherry would be great too and Tybalt as my Jock would be nice but I can just use cards for those two so that's not a big deal. If we're not locked into those two personalities, I'm thinking Walker, Chief, Marshal, or the new cat for male villagers and Skye or ... maybe Mint or Diana for females? I haven't given that much thought. XD

Mapwise I want an east river exit most of all. Never cared about grass and I'm not about to start now.

I would like a map not too messy ; I don't want too much river ! Something simple.
I prefer orange and yellow for the airport color, I'll reset if I have blue.
Every fruit is ok with me but I prefer apples !
For the villagers, I admit I don't really like uchi and jock personalities. However, if I have to choose, I would like (and will reset for that more than for anything else) Cousteau or Genji and Agnes or Phoebe (or some new ones ?). I'm going to acquire a lot of amiibo cards so I hope using them as soon as possible !

At this point I’m kind of happy with anything. Not concerned over starter islanders/villagers either. I think I may just accept what the game has given me first time around when I go to pick what map I want. (May not be the case though.)

I’m more concerned about the map layout even though terraforming is a thing.
Seeing as we’ll be granted access to that later in the game, it’s important for me to have a good layout early on as it’ll be easier to pan out ideas.

I’d prefer only apples over the others. (Maybe there will be new native fruits. Would love to have apricots...but doubt it.)
While I can eat pears and oranges irl, I’ve always found them to look bland in-game plus, oranges actually give me indigestion irl. Not huge on peaches either. I find them too overpowering in terms of their flavour. As for pears, they blend in too much with the trees I feel during certain seasons. Cherries are OK but not too fond of them.

For an airport colour, blue or purple would be nice if available but I don’t really mind.
