What are all the things you hope to start with?

☆Villagers: Bam and Tammy (I actually want Bam and Tabby though)
☆Fruit: Cherries (although I'm hoping for cacao trees!)
☆Airport: Blue
☆Map: Something interesting I can work with! I'd like to make sure the plaza is in a convenient place too otherwise that will be reset worthy of we are unable to change it!

Fruit: Honestly, I prefer peaches or apples but I think all the fruits look so pretty now! I don't think I'm going to be too picky with it this time.

Airport: I would love to have pink, or red, or orange! Brown would be cool if it was an option but I am not sure if it will be or not. Another color I'd love would be purple or navy!

Villagers: Agh I don't like many of the uchi or jocks. For jocks I would love it if I could get Rudy, Poncho or Buck though. They are super cute and are some of my dreamies! For uchi I'd be relieved to see either Deirdre or Reneigh. Anybody but Canberra, Diva, Frita, Hazel or Pashmina.... Or God forbid, Shari. :/

Map: I don't really mind that much with the map but I hate my island being split into narrow chunks of land so I'd really prefer to get one that doesn't do that with the river layout?

Grass pattern: Whichever one causes your winter grass to look like stars but idk how to determine that in this game so honestly I don't mind.

Regarding resetting, I'm not sure. :/ If I get one of those oh no-no villagers I mentioned I would be tempted to reset and probably would end up doing it, but I'd really like to not. I won't spend hours and HOURS on it though like I used to.

Fruit: I would prefer apples. I’m not sure I’m willing to reset lots to get them, though. I’ve had all of the fruits in my town over the years, and apples are my favorites, but I’ve only actually had them once. Oranges are my least favorite (and my most common town fruit), so I would probably like to avoid those. They do sort of fit the island theme, however.

Airport color: blue. This seems like the most important factor to reset for so far.

Grass pattern: don’t think I care. I guess I’ll decide when I see them.

Map style: I want roughly even plots of land, but I could terraform that later. For river exits, maybe two on different edges of the map? Again, no strong preferences.

Villagers: I plan on focusing on my Amiibo favorites, so I’m not concerned about these. Teddy is my favorite jock, but it’s fine if I don’t get him to start. I don’t have a favorite uchi.

Although I don't really mind about the villagers

Map: A river that exits west and south and isn't too crazy so it will be easier to terraform

I'll only reset for things I can't change later (even with fruit, I don't know why but I like the idea of my favourite fruit being native).

Villagers: I don't mind too much. Once I get the campsite, I'm going crazy with my Amiibo.

Map: RS in the middle, rivers not splitting up the map too much.

I'll mainly be resetting for the bolded ones. My thought is I waited years for this game, so I may as well really enjoy whichever map I pick without second guessing like I did with ACNL. I just hope it won't take too long.

Villagers: If the Jock/Uchi starters are certain, I hope I get Bill or Rudy and Deidre. If not, I hope I get Cole as a starter. I've got amiibos though so it's not a big concern.
Map: I'd like one with a south facing waterfall, just in case we can't change that later. Otherwise the ability to terraform means I'm not too fussy.

I honestly never notice things like grass pattern so it's not a factor for me at all.

anywhere the tiers change with a river will have a waterfall and if the river is flowing south the face should be south. Same with other directions

In NL winter, triangles turn into stars and circles into hexagons. Squares don't change at all.

I wouldn't know where the tiers are.
We need to be able to explore instead of going through a tutorial, then craft a vaulting pole, only to discover the map sucks.

I can't read the maps.
I need to walk around.

Edit. Where did the large pond part of the rivers go?
Have they gotten rid of those?

The things I will definitely be resetting for

Fruit: Cherries > Apples
Airport Color: Yellow > Green > Orange?
Map: The river can do whatever, but I'd like Town Hall close by the airport. Preferably lined up, but I'll probably take nearby

Things that I hope for, but will roll without them

Uchi Villagers: I'd LOVE for Diva to start out with me cause she's my favorite, but Charlise is also one of my dreamies.
Jock Villager: The only Jock I want permanently for my town is Jitters, but I wouldn't mind starting with Ribbot or one of the other frog boys
Grass Texture: Triangle. I honestly don't know what the others look like and I'm too lazy for a google search.

I would prefer:

-Pears (cherries second choice)

-Any airport, but preferably brown or grey if they have those

-I don't care about my starting animals. If I like them, I'll keep them, if I don't, I'll let them leave. I'll probably keep them all, because I don't mind. I definately want Coach if I get a jock.

-Map, I can adapt my town around it and change the layout. I have a plan, but I can adapt based on the map I am given.

-I'll have any grass. Preferably circles I guess, but I really don't care. River exits to the ocean and DEFINATELY the plaza/town hall or whatever are the most important things to me.

I'm not gonna be resetting.

My favorite villager of all time is Mott who happens to be a jock so I would love to get him as my starting villager, but I won?t be resetting for him.

I will, however, reset for the yellow airport and would love to have circle patterned grass (but I don?t know if I?ll bother to reset for grass type)

As for fruit, I guess it all depends on whether or not perfect fruit will be a thing. If yes then I?ll go for oranges or apples. If not I won?t bother to reset for it.
