TBT/BTB Bells are the forum-currency, you can use them to buy in-game items from animal crossing games, pokemon or use them to buy collectibles (Which are nice little decorations you can display so everyone can see)

You get them by posting! You can also exchange them with other users here for in-game items, art, or avatars and signatures to use on the forum.

It stands for The Bell Tree (or Bell Tree Bells, though that's a less popular name for them).

If you grab yourself some nice collectibles, you can sell them to other users for massive amounts of TBT, which you could then spend on in-game stuff or whatever. Everyone does different things with it.
