Still busy with work as always not much has changed lol. I am taking next Friday off though. Not just for New Horizons, but it's almost my birthday and I haven't had a day off yet this year and I'm starting to feel pretty mentally drained.
Going on here every day and visiting my NL town haha.
Honestly, I'm kind of happy to wait. I've been struggling with depression/anxiety recently and its kind of refreshing/hopeful to me that I am this excited about something again! I haven't felt like this in a long time, and although its a long wait, I am thankful that I have something great to look forward to :3
Good question! At this point I am just waiting and slowly dying inside xD I need it now haha I wasn't hyped the last month but now I am in full hype modus! Also university is closed down and pretty much everything is under lock down. So yeah just boring waiting for the game ;o;
Well, I work 12 hour shifts today, tomorrow, and Sunday, so that is keeping me busy. I usually have Mon-Thurs off every week, but I took the Friday off this week too.
Monday I'll be getting my new AC Switch ready (screen protector, system transfer, downloading the game). Tuesday I have plans with a friend and then house cleaning and laundry. Wednesday I will hopefully be working on my AC journal and getting a better idea of what map I'd like and what's worth resetting for. Thursday.... is going to be agony until 9pm lol. I doubt anything will be able to distract me.
i'm currently playing other video games, like smash ultimate, and project diva mega mix. they're good time wasters, but i do sometimes check in on my old new leaf town.
the only reason i'm playing other games like smash more is because i know that when new horizons releases, i'm really not gonna play another game that much.
here's a tip, a quick way to pass time is not to think of it that much, try not to anticipate it. you could always try going to sleep like an hour earlier
well the fact my countdown is also a countdown of how long i have left in self-isolation has put a spanner in the works! my answer would have been school and work but now i'll be at home, so i'll just be doing lots of schoolwork, reading, watching films and tv and taking time to think about new horizons!
Anticipation is part of thr experience for me. I remember when I bought Ocarina of Time, I didn't even get it out of the box the first day and just admired it, after which I just read the little booklet for a few days. This is the only place I would share this behaviour, for some reason it seems the right place. My point is that the anticipation which you experience now is so ething you can't go back to when you start playing the game. Obviously not a bad thing because you'll have the game, but it helps me to enjoy this part of the process as well.
Picking up extra shifts at work. I wake up in the morning and get home in the evening. 2 hours of doing whatever before sleep. Rinse as repeat. Works well. Time flew. Can’t believe it’s just a week away.
