I had a pretty good day. At work, I attended a couple of meetings where we just brainstormed solutions for our current project. I really enjoy that kind of thing. It was very low stress and fun.
I left work early for a doctor appointment and my vitals all look good. I discussed something with her that's been upsetting me since my surgery and it felt good that she validated my concerns. She offered a few generic suggestions to get back to my old self, but recommended I reach out to the surgeon for more specific information since that's not her specialty. I've already sent my surgeon a message through my Patient Portal and hope to have a response next week.
I did some self-care this evening which included a full yoga session. I haven't done that since the operation, only a few stretches here and there as needed. I'm going to try committing to a daily session like I was doing pre-surgery. I always feel relaxed and better afterwards, but sometimes it's hard to get the motivation to start.
My husband found a gym that he will hopefully like. He had a consultation this week and starts his first session with a personal trainer on Monday. He's been on a path to get healthier and in shape for the past few years, but reached the limit of what he could do on his own. He's been wanting to do this for a while, so I told him I'd cover the cost as his Christmas present.
Speaking of Christmas presents, I never mentioned what I got for Christmas. I've been talking about playing AC:GC again for a while, but I've never really searched for it. My wonderfully hubby bought me the original game and a controller so I can play it on our Wii! I'm not exaggerating. I literally cried.
@Autumn247 You have a new kitty! He's beautiful!
