Completed my first week at my big girl job

I managed to get quite a lot done this week, and I’m trying to make a priority list so that I can get a little more done each day. I had my first talk with the head about my ECT (in England it’s mandatory to do 2 years of additional induction training after graduating). I explained that at the beginning of the week I was really nervous and felt a bit overwhelmed because I had been thrown in the deep end but feel like I’ve finally settled into the role a bit more. He told me he thinks I’m doing a great job and not to worry about anything because he thinks I’m settling in well. Such a relief to hear this. I’m hoping that next week will be even better! I treated myself to a glass of wine and a takeaway last night to celebrate!

Going to have a restful weekend now and catch up on FFXIV and Genshin (I’ve been doing my dailies but haven’t had time for anything else!). I’m also planning on going to the shops and picking up a few bits for my classroom.

- Had a pretty nice Friday! Fridays are usually very chill at my job and we finish an hour early

- Had a really lovely morning today! I slept in until 9am and then went out to get breakfast with my best friend. It's been quite sunny outside as well, and bumped into my dad on my way home before he set off for an overnight trip

- Gonna have pizza for dinner later

I gave away my $20 steam gift card to my cousin so he could buy Persona 5 Royal.

...I got the card for Christmas and I don't actually have a computer to use Steam. It was either that or trade it for PayPal money.

I liked the idea more of helping him get Persona.

Happy today because I got to sleep in and had my favorite coffee drink. Played games for awhile and grinded exploration in Wuthering Waves. I also fed my kitty her favorite wet food and gave her hugs and kisses. Lastly, the Dallas Stars defeated the St. Louis Blues 2-0 in St. Louis to further extend their lead over the Minnesota Wild for the 2nd spot in the NHL Central Division. Hope everyone had a good day!

☾ I watched an episode of Hunter x Hunter and Demon Slayer this morning with my family!

☾ Got a really tedious chore done off my to-do list OTL it took hours and was positively mind-numbing but! It’s done now and I don’t have to think about it anymore

☾ Bought a few songs on iTunes! I haven't listened to my music in a little while actually, need to find some time for that

☾ Also got to see some Youtube videos this evening, including another of LDShadowLady’s Empires S1 videos! Her and Joel are honestly adorable; they’re relationship goals for me I stg

☾ I played Among Us this evening, both hide and seek and classic modes!! ;v; I had so much fun aaaa

Today has been pretty good for me filled with a lot of laughs. I'm really grateful for that.

• Even though work got somewhat busy near the end of my shift, it wasn't stressful thankfully.
• My mother bought some pizza and also cooked popcorn chicken for dinner! In addition with rice and sauteed beans, it was very filling.
• I've been watching some VanossGaming videos in the past few days. More specifically, I watched the ones he made just over a decade ago and it gave me quite a lot of laughs. This is because I watched them back when he was starting out his Youtube career, so it was a nostalgia trip if anything. Even after all this time, his old videos still make me laugh so hard. Great to see him still make funny videos to this day with his friends which I ended up watching one.
• I played in yet another session of Among Us hosted by @/Dunquixote! Goodness gracious, it was quite an interesting evening playing with @/TN4U, @/BetsySundrop, and @/.: Meri :.. Imposters were slaying (quite literally in-game) for a few rounds, especially when framing innocent victims (I was one of the said victims lol). On the flipside, we've had a couple of short rounds due to imposters getting caught red-handed at the wrong time. My personal highlight for me is that I was able to protect Meri with my guardian powers twice in the same round. However, I found it very funny how they decided to frame me as the imposter a few rounds later despite grouping up with BetsySundrop (who ended up being on the chopping block if you know what I mean). All that saving in the afterlife and this is the thanks I get. For the record, this is all just good banter and laughed my head off!

- I bought a few thrifted cargo pants today!! They were about less than $10 each and I got 3 I needed new pairs of pants and I'm really happy to have gotten them for cheap! Secondhand/thrifted clothes are the best, I've been buying from thrift stores more frequently than from actual shops at this point because the prices are just so much more friendly and accessible. $30 in regular clothing shops would've gotten me a single pair of pants, but right now I'm up to 3 pairs of pants for a bit lower price too. I'm really happy

Reminds me to clean up my closet again, I have a few pre-loved clothes that are too small for me now and I'd love to give them away. I did that last Christmas and I'm looking to do it again sometime this midyear.

- I received my Maple LEGO set! It's soooo cute Assembled it today but I still have to think about where to put it hehe.

- Got to study a decent amount, I'm not finished yet but I'm glad I went out! Driving has been more therapeutic for me too because I hate being in the house studying all day.

- Mom got me hot chocolate packs & iced tea

- I ate some steamed momos with rice for dinner that I ordered from a Nepali restaurant.
- Went to a pickleball lesson and learned how to serve. I also received a lot of compliments from others for improving my skills.
- It rained a bit today for the first time in a while.
- Played AC: Wild World and Nan moved to my town.

I got to sleep in today and will do the same tomorrow. I really needed it. I woke up to find my husband snuggling me this morning.

We finally watched The Wild Robot. It was sooo good. Sad but good. My dog laid with me the entire time, scrunched up between myself and the armrest.

- Made overnight protein oats for my breakfast and they were amazing! New recipe unlocked

- Went to the hospital this morning to get two of my fingers looked at (pretty sure I've got an infection, they've been swollen for the past week). Couldn't see the doctor about it because they're only open while I'm at work. Anywayy, glad I got that over with. We will see if the prescribed stuff works ;/

- Just enjoying a relaxed day off I'm glad I feel more comfortable at work now, so much so that I don't feel Monday anxiety anymore

- Got up to page 100 of the book I'm reading! I bought a ton of books for this year, hoping to read a lot more

Happy today because I had a super lazy Sunday and was able to sleep for 12 hours and tune the world out. I'm also about to play some games and watch the Kansas City Chiefs versus Buffalo Bills playoff game. Pulling for the Chiefs to win. Hope everyone has a great week!

I'm really glad that this weekend has been pretty good to me.

• Work was pretty chill and I'm not gonna complain about that!
• Feel free to skip this point. A car showed up at work today for an oil change that may potentially arrive in the update of Gran Turismo 7 later this week if predictions are correct. I'd be really shocked if that's the case, because my coworker worked on a Toyota C-HR. Yeah, you heard that right. Another SUV may get added to the game lol. They're fairly common in my area (one of my mother's friends drives one lol), but I'm gonna add it anyways to my identified cars list to bump up the count to #254!
• Feel free to also skip this point. Still at work, as I headed out to go bring inside a car, my supervisor caught my attention and asked if I liked the car he was pointing at. I couldn't believe my eyes. A wild Volkswagen ID. Buzz appeared as it passed through the area! You could imagine how hyped I was since it's pretty much a successor to the Sambabus! I told @/xSuperMario64x about my sighting and he said that I'm one step ahead of him. Bug really wants to see one in person someday lol. Despite chances of the Buzz appearing in Gran Turismo 7 are extremely low (and that's being very hopeful), I'm still gonna add it to the list due to its distinct characteristics. It bumps up the count again to #255!
• I had a good dinner.
• For the third day in a row, I got to play Among Us hosted by @/Dunquixote! It's the same people from last night, but we still had fun despite only the five of us playing. The imposters were slaying (quite literally) winning a good amount of rounds. It certainly didn't help ejecting innocent crewmates which gave them the upper hand lol.
• Listened to some relaxing music before wrapping up for the day.

☾ Saw another episode of Demon Slayer (it feels like they go by so quickly aaaa) and an episode of Haikyu this morning! My family and I watched some Youtube later on too, and watched another of LDShadowLady’s Empires S1 episodes!

☾ I’m almost done with the fruit gathering event in Pocket Camp Complete! I should be able to wrap it up tomorrow. ^^
