What Are You Happy About Today?

first day back to work from spring break and i got a lot of compliments on my new hair!! some of my kids even said i look like strawberry shortcake (and others asked if i was going through a midlife crisis 🥲)
overall it was an easy day and not as bad as i thought it would be (behavior-wise) considering it was a 2-week break! post-break also means just a couple months left until summer and it's probably going to go by quickly because of state testing.
 
♡ Got my copy of Disney Magical World for the 3DS in the mail yesterday afternoon. Very very excited to play this ^^ In the meantime, I've been playing lots of Tomodachi Life (where Bucky DID NOT reject me?! even better, the first time I confessed to him right after I made him xD), Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns, and Fire Emblem Fates. I missed Fire Emblem Fates a lot. It was my first FE game and possibly even my favorite due to how good I thought it was xD Despite all the crap it gets for being a 'bad game'.

♡ I GOT A NEW JOB!!! Well, offered to me. I'll be making more here and working around the same amount of hours as this job, but I'm still pretty darn excited. It's a bigger chain, so that means more opportunities for me.. I guess? That's just what my dad said. I don't think it truly matters to me where I work until I get my dream job- and even though I'm 24.. I still do not know what I wanna do for the rest of my life. T^T Anywho, my orientation is on the 11th! ^_^

♡ I'm happy because my 3DS XL should be shipping soon! I'm nervous at the same time tho because my mom did NOT make a Mercari account before she purchased it.. >< ugh.. at least she got me warranty protection for the product; not like it really matters though bc she 'can't find the warranty number' for me to register it lol. Nonetheless, I should have a New Leaf edition 3DS XL soon if everything goes according to plan! :3

♡ Made some yummy brown sugar cinnamon iced coffee this morning c: It's sugar free but it's still pretty tasty. I'm sipping on it as I play Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns. Speaking of SoS: ToT... I got a cow that I named Bertha. And a chicken named Henny. I've been taking care of them everyday, watering my crops (potatoes and radishes and a few flowers, too), and trying to romance Wayne. It's taking me forever. Even though I just started, I should be a lil more patient and possibly wait for other love interests to come around ^_^

♡ The other 3DS games I bought should be here soon! I'm really looking forward to KH: DDD because it's still in the case, has the manual, etc. And I'm also excited to play it <3 I still need to play the other KH games first apparently but.. sighhh I no wanna >< I will eventually, but it will probably take me forever xD

I'm officially off work until April 22nd. 🥳

This afternoon I received a call from a company I applied to a few weeks ago. They're very interested in the skillset I've developed working in education while also having a background in their industry. We had an upfront discussion about salaries, and it looks like they could match my current income. It could be a good career move. I should hear back either late this week or early next week if the hiring manager wants to invite me to interview. By the way he phrased things sounds like they're very likely to give me a call.🤞
 
  • Got an appointment for the end of the month in the post that I've been waiting for since July.
  • Got some mail posted off, also included a few photos of Blossom as they've never met her before.
  • Ordered Blossom 2 new bowls and a pet cooling mat as her current one has been well used.
  • I managed to pre-order a Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario Kart World Bundle! I've never had a release day console before so I'm excited for the hype and being able to enjoy it with other Nintendo Switch 2 owners! My Dad has been very generous and said he would buy it for my Birthday as my birthday is only a few days before release day!
 
  • still have the day off today so made pâte à choux with my sister, it didn't turn out as sweet as she would like so we'll have to adjust the recipe next time
  • started working on the taxes for myself and my parents, then will be double checking my sister's once she's done
  • oh! finally had time and got around to taking nicer pictures of my nails to send to the artist so that she could post it
  • the urge to reread the hunger games series is strong and my fyp hasn't been helpful in the slightest lol but i really don't want to go through the heartbreak again... but it was so good

  • I'm eating birthday cake for no other reason other than I love birthday cake. It is delicious
  • Went to yoga today
  • Went out to lunch with some co-workers from another department. It was nice to chat with them and have a break in my normal routine
  • Got my 'Work To-Do List' done
  • Did I mention I love eating birthday cake

Yesterday: They finally sell french fries at Pizza Hut. ^__^
(from what I looked up, some of PHs having been fries them for years, but apparently fries only recently started to be sold at my local one)

Today: After nine years, I finally figured out how to use my user title color changer I bought back in April 2016.
 
Today wasn’t bad even though I hardly got any sleep and have been kinda crabby 😅.

I’ve been drawing most of the day; been working on a small sketch off and on. I just finished my egg contest entry; I made a second one for fun. Originally that one was going to be the one that I was going to submit, but I felt like it could have been better, not to mention I couldn’t resize it without it looking unrecognizable like my Black Frost entry from Halloween.

I’m hoping I can get back into the other drawing soon; but I’m going to continue taking it a step at a time I think. Don’t want to get burnt out either.

Earlier Jewels snuggled with me and she even licked my arm which she rarely does; Spanky is the one that loves to give kisses, not Jewels. Eventually she started knocking stuff off my shelves once she woke up so I had to kick her out to get some sleep 😅.

- Had a really relaxed, pleasant day not doing much. Had a quick doctor's appointment this morning to check on my ear and everything seems fine lol

- Guysss how come nobody told me they started selling the life size Appletun plushies again??? I remember wanting one of those things so badly when they came out four years ago, but couldn't justify it. Anyway, I totally impulse bought one today since they're still available here in the UK. 🍎🍏💕 Appletun is my favourite pokemon it can't be helped! And he has like, no merch 😭 No idea where I'm gonna keep this thing lmao

I finally have my dishwasher wired into an appropriate switch. No more burning out a lightswitch! The electrician was also great with my cats - good as Sebastian insisted on going under the counter with him to help. He loves whenever we've tradespeople in the house. 🐈

Also, I found out that after another electrician fixed the lightswitch on Saturday that he went back and told his buddies about our house. Today's electrician feared what he was getting into. When he looked under my counters he said, "S was right, this is a DIY maniacs work." The previous owner made some questionable choices. 🤣

My partner was also off work today, but was out for most of it. We managed to get in an episode of Voyager in the couple of hours she was home in the afternoon.

Took a 2.5hr nap with the boys cuddled up next to me. They let me sleep past their dinnertime!

Made pulled pork tacos for dinner. One of my favourite meals right now. 🌮😋

I think it'll be a glass of wine and a chill evening. I'm quite alert so may work on a crafts project.

Seeing my parents tomorrow afternoon for the first time in six months and looking forward to it! My dad is going to get the BBQ out. 🍻
