I thought it would be cool to know what ya'll wanna do in life. It doesn't just have to be career-wise. It can be any goal you want to achieve one day.
Right now I'm going to college and I have an undecided major. I am considering something in the veterinary business or a photographer or something in the graphic design area. I need a lot of work and improvement for all of those though.
I want to direct movies, or have my own magazine, or produce songs, or make video games. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE TO PICK. In reality I'm just waiting for one of these things to happen and I'm not doing much in my life really. I'm depressed now.
I'm starting cosmetology school soon, so I'll be taking the very first step towards my dreams! It's exciting.
My ultimate goal is doing makeup for runway shows and high fashion photo shoots.
It would be great to work with the more well known clients, or even celebrities/big models.
On a more unrealistic note, I'd love to do makeup for Mariah Carey or Lady Gaga. But that's a bit specific lol.
Go to Japan and be fluent enough to not need tour guide.
Also NOT rl dreams. My sleep dreams are always awesome. It's always either in a place of mind-blowing beauty (or fear inspiring mangitude) OR I have low gravity dreams where I can jump super far and super high and nobody else can. These usually involve me being chased by men with weapons.
And my husband wonders why I'll sleep 12 hours solid.
My Unrealistic Dream:
Be in a Broadway musical. However, I can't sing worth crap, and I'm not the best actor if I can be perfectly honest. So that dream is pretty dead.
My still unrealistic, but doable with elbow grease and luck:
Writing and designing my own animated show. If this were to happen, I would never be sad again. Especially if it actually became the success in my head.
I am unrealistic:
Get both of my novels published.
Also I forgot to mention but I wanna move to:
a) Orlando, Florida (for all the theme parks)
b) Hollywood, California (for fun)
c) Somewhere country like where it snows.
I came in here to post about my stupid recurring dreams. Like the one where I am suddenly back in high school or uni, and late for an exam in a class I haven't attended in months. But NO, people are talking about ambitions and stuffs.
Okay okay, I have already realised my dreams of working in the film industry, but the job market sucks so now I am realising my dreams of doing medical stuff. Or at least I will once I get a job.
This topic was a source of some major depression for me last year :I that and other things.
It made me depressed because I didn't have any goals/dreams/aspirations when it comes to careers and I was feeling really uncertain about whether or not I should bother continuing with college when I felt so horribly uncertain about my choice of major (historic preservation). I'm still pretty uncertain about it, but I figure that I should just give it a chance and see where it takes me :3
As for goals that aren't career related, I would love love love loooooveto swim with whales of all kinds.... beluga whales especially. I'd also like to go scuba diving and go see these underwater sculptures. I'd like to go to the coasts, and to see the castles in Europe... travel around in general.
Those are the biggest things that I would like to do.
I want to be a landscape architect as my profession, start my own business in that field, and own a nature preserve and/or very large piece of property. I'd love to travel basically anywhere in the world.
My dream is to get accepted into CalArts' famous animation program, move to Burbank, and work in the field of animation.
I would love to direct an animated movie or start an animated TV show in my lifetime, and hopefully inspire someone like how Walt Disney or Miyazaki inspired me.
I also have stuff in my bucket list like wanting to go scuba diving, learning more Japanese and visiting Japan, and going to New Zealand and visiting Hobbiton, among hundreds of other things.
