What are your favorite Christmas movies and songs?

It's Christmas time, everyone! I would love to know what all your favorite Christmas movies and songs are in order to get into the holiday spirit!

My favorite Christmas movie would definitely have to be, none other than, ELF! The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all those to hear! I always HAVE to watch it whenever it's December, it just wouldn't feel right without doing so.

My favorite Christmas song is The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an opeeen fireee) and Little Saint Nick. The first one just seems like the classic Christmas song that definitely sets the mood like no other. The second one is a more fun, happy Christmas song.

Charlie Brown Christmas is probably my favorite xmas movie ... a timeless classic. I also really love the old Rankin/Bass Christmas specials (frosty, rudolph, little drummer boy, etc).

Elf and The Christmas Story are my favorite movies.
I'm a Grinch and I can't stand most Christmas songs, but I LOVE Ella Fitzgerald's Christmas albums.

I'm not too particular about Christmas music, I don't really have a favourite.

But I looove the Grinch. I also thought Rise of the Guardians was really cute even though it's more an all-holidays movie. But Santa was my favourite so I'm just gonna say it's a Christmas movie.

i love Elf and The Christmas Song so much too! I also love the holiday special of Spongebob Squarepants and Drake and Josh. <3 ALWAYS have to watch those during December as well. Another Christmas classic I enjoy is All I Want For Christmas is You. I'm always listening to the Christmas music on the radio whenever it's December, it just makes me so happy. I'm really into the holiday spirit!

all christmas songs that i like are the ones weve done/are doing for choir, including 'the hands that first held mary's child' and 'pat a pan'.

My favorite Christmas song would be "Believe" by Josh Groban. The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorites too.

My favorite Christmas film is probably Jim Carrey in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas- I have to watch that every year. "HATE HATE HATE, DOUBLE HATE. LOOOOOATHE ENTIRELY..." Also Elf, even though I'm kind of sick of it now, it seems overplayed. I also have to watch Three Days every year, where his wife gets hit by a car, and this angel dude comes and grants him a second chance to save her, and he ends up sacrificing himself, does anyone remember that one? I think it was a Hallmark or Lifetime movie, I don't even know. Also gotta watch those awkward claymations, there's something so demonically charming about them.

It's so hard to pick favourites! I love pretty much all versions of A Christmas Carol, though the one from the 1950s with Alastair Sim is my favourite (the Muppet Christmas Carol is a close second!). And it's not Christmas without the old Rankin/Bass stop motion Christmas specials, like Rudolph and the Little Drummer Boy and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Peggy Lee is a darling and I love her song Winter Weather, or possibly my other favourite is Sleigh Ride since I have like 10 different versions of it in my Christmas playlist. As for the old Christmas folksongs, I think my favourites are Good King Wenceslas or Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

As for music. I love anything on Michael Buble's Christmas album and anything on ASCAP's Christmas Compilation album

For films my favorite would probably be 'Jingle All The Way' (Arnold Schwarzenegger). Aside from it being so quotable (so many good quotes), it's one of the few 'Christmas films' where it's actually Christmas all the way through. Arnie being in these types of films is always great as well, just because he really doesn't suit them xD

Toy Story I guess would be second...Though I really hate calling it a 'Christmas film' since the only 'Christmas bit' is 30 seconds at the end...It's like calling 'Rambo' a Christmas film because you see Christmas decorations in the police station for a few seconds...



As for Christmas music...I dunno. 'Whats this?' from the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack is pretty good, though for actually listening to it I prefer the Fall Out Boy cover of it.
Or maybe 'Northpole Throwdown' by Children of Bodom, just for lolz.

Hi to everyone here! It is so good to remember movies about Christmas and how can I forget one movie when I was conceiving with my first child? I am referring to "Home Alone" I indeed love the face of this young boy who was accidentally left inside their house instead of spending his family in an out of town relaxation. I really like the funny side of the story in the character this young boy did. He was smart in the movie

The only Christmas song I've ever liked is Santa Tell Me. By Ariana Grande, and it's more mainstream than a Christmas song... Haha

AND, I love the Polar Express. I cry every time at its cuteness...
