what attracted you to animal crossing?

I can remember it was a non-school uniform day at school the last day before summer break, and one of my friends had brought in her DS and was playing wild world. I was really intrigued at first because I loved my DS and had a lot of games but hadn't seen this one before.

She let me play it and I think after the initial confusion, it didn't take me long at all to become addicted!

I got it during the summer holidays and remember playing it religiously, joining forums and creating blogs and I've been that way ever since. I'm really thankful that she brought her DS in that day otherwise I might still have been unaware of the game. Animal Crossing has been a big part of my life and both the game and community have actually helped me through some tough times.

The funny commercial that was on TV for the Gamecube version. I was poor so I knew I wouldn't ever own it, but by chance a few years later I was dating a guy who wanted to stop in and hang out with some friends that had just moved back into the area and the wife of his friend just happened to be playing it and allowed me to try it out.

When Wild World came out I was newly married and happened to tell my husband the story of me seeing the original commercial for the game and how much I loved what I got to see when I played the one time.

He surprised me with a pink DS and Wild World the next day. XD

Ever since he has always gotten me every animal crossing game.

Started with Gamecube when I was probably 5. I had an older brother so he was the one who wanted all the consoles and video games and we would play together. A few years later, my mom gifted me animal crossing wild world and I got back into it again. I remember looking at the back of the box and thinking there was so much new furniture in wild world.
