What did y’all get for the holidays this year?

It was a pretty light Christmas for us this year, but that's because this year's main focus was just being able to spend time with family we haven't seen in years. Plus, I'm still very grateful for the gifts I did get!

-A very soft and cozy blanket, perfect for just having around the house!
-A 2025 wall calendar where each month is a different vintage travel poster from various famous but now defunct companies such as Pan Am Airways. Since I love to travel, this one was right up my alley!
-A couple of official retro-style Amtrak tees using old marketing taglines, my favorite being "Maybe your next flight should be on a train!"
-A dash cam for my car which is incredibly useful considering the drivers in this area... And even if it wasn't for that, I'd still rather have a dash cam and not need it, than need a dash cam and not have it!

But out of everything, my favorite gift this year would have to be celebrating one year together with my SO! (Well, technically one year was reached a couple days before Christmas, but I'd still say it's close enough to count!)

My parents really spoiled me and got me Apple Airpods Pro 2 for Christmas! For my birthday, they got me two pairs of earrings which I got to pick out. One of them isn't in the picture below (it's silver scallop shells).

I had a small wish list but it never stays that way.

- Two eyeshadow palettes
- Two pairs of earrings
- a jewelry box
- a steam deck
- an external hard drive
- floral socks
- new phone
- an electric hotpot

I was most surprised by the electric hotpot because I love hotpot but was always scared to have the portal gas stove (the gas canister makes me nervous). So I'm really stoked and now I can enjoy a fun hotpot dinner.

My fav present this year was my Loungefly Grinch and Max backpack that my oldest son got for me!!!

I also got some new outdoor hanging lights since the ones I have no longer work, a James Avery wreath charm, a Pokémon journal, a Pokemon Christmas shirt, some grinch PJs that I got to open up before Christmas, some new boots, a bunch of little figures (some Disney, some Harry Potter) & a grinch and Max snow globe and a new Stanley cup.

Oh! And a cool animal crossing goodie box from my son’s girlfriend!

I got this and a 512gb micro sd card. Plus a bag of snacks with edamame, ramen, protein snack.

i got a bunch of wonderful things that i'm super happy about, but the big standout is my new weighted blanket that i'm obsessed with! i've used weighted blankets before but always found them a little suffocating, especially since i always run hot when i sleep. but the one i got is knitted and made from 100% cotton so it's super breathable and i love it SO much, it's been a lifesaver these past few nights since i got it. i feel like a sponsored post rn but i have such bad anxiety and it's made a big difference!

amongst the other things i also got three sets of animal crossing legos that i'm super stoked to build! i have no room for them but ima build em anyway lol
