Graham moved out today so I went on mystery islands and invited Audie!! Now to get Alli to move out as well... and (unfortunately) probably Tiansheng as well bc I need a smug villager. (Preferably Marshal or Julian.)
Also unlocked the ability to order things from the HHP catalogue. Used it to get some stuff from the dreamy set.
- K.K. Slider performed on the island for the first time today!
- Bought the waterscaping and cliff building permits.
- Bought a bunch of Nook Miles redemption stuff.
- Sent posters to a friend.
- Started working on the second tier of my island.
- Pulled my hair out because I built snowmen where I want to terraform.
- Gave gifts to my villagers.
- Invited Bob to the campsite. He wanted a clackercart. Can't remember what he gave me lol.
Put down a bridge in one of my rivers and added stairs perfectly aligned to it. Had to TT a bit and it was pricey but it's so satisfying how they line up just the right way. Also did some light terraforming around the stairs area but still not 100% sure how I want it to look so I'm not going all in. I finished making a custom design. Found and gave Julian his lost book. I planted some trees and bushes around the entrance but I'm also being a little careful with that since you have to use power ups to uproot them. I found this trick on IG where you can plant a tree on the very edge however I messed up so I haven't been able to do it yet, I'm going to keep working at it until it works. Wish a lot of these options were easier to implement and more intuitive... I have an idea for another house but I'm trying to see if I can fit those ideas elsewhere on my island before I fully commit. I used the sketch room app to see what remaining items I'd like to implement on my island and it seems like they're enough for another house and it would help with the lack of space issue I'm facing.
- unlocked cooking, ordinances and kapp'n.
- found brewster on a kapp'n island and invited him to the island.
- picked a new temporary location for the tailors.
- gave gifts to all my villagers.
- wrote letters to whitney, katt, drift and truffles.
- terraformed a little.
- bought one (1) bag from kicks.
- moved an ungodly amount of flowers.
i was able to get all my rocks on the tier that i wanted but they're not arranged close together. i may have to lay down custom paths everywhere so i can get them exactly how i want but it does seem a bit daunting. i buried a gyroid fragment, going to check on it tomorrow. i literally forgot what gyroid fragments were for, it's been so long since i took my hiatus. planted a couple bushes. it would be nice if i could use 1 of each type of bush but so many of them i don't like how they look and they don't really fit my theme.
I created a spooky campground. I had the perfect spot for my Brewstoid, and realized I accidentally sold him with my other gyroids. So frustrating. I guess I'll be ordering some from the forum.
I decorated Midges house. It looks real cute. Tammy is next. Her house looks terrible. So nice that we get to decorate their homes.
started making some changes to the neighborhood around my house. i stopped myself before getting too fixated on it. it's nice to terraform casually without letting it consume me to the point where i close my eyes at night and see terraforming
i like the little neighborhoods i've created on my island (˶ˆᗜˆ˵) !!
Less of an accomplishment and more of a happening, but I got my first shooting stars on this island last night, so I got my first star fragments today!! It's kind of funny, because back when the game launched I didn't have get any for weeks, and this time it happened on my second time playing at night. Good omens maybe?
I talked to all my villagers. A lot of them had the dialog you get when you haven't spoken to them for a while. I've been busy time traveling to order stuff from my catalog. The 5 day limit really sucks, hope they go back to the New Leaf method where we get 2 mail deliveries per day so we can at least have 10. Planted a couple apple trees. Spent 5 minutes circling the perimeter of a pond trying to catch an infuriating pond fish that would keep turning away every time I plopped my fishing lure. Whyyyyyyy must you run. Did eventually catch it though. I am planning on making another character but I just have to figure out where I can put their house. I made a Valentine's Day dress, still need to add some more details later. Crafted a moss glowing jar to put up in my forest.
- Invited Daisy to the campsite, she's moving in tomorrow!
- Went on a Kapp'n island tour.
- Went to work and designed vacation homes for Eloise and Mallary.
- Had coffee at the Roost.
- Royally ignored Daisy Mae and her sneezing everywhere.
- Played my second character. Her house's main room will be larger tomorrow!
I went back to Valentine’s Day so I could give everyone a chocolate heart.
Picked the weeds
Finally put the Christmas decorations away.
Returned a lost bag to Sprinkle
Got hot chocolate from Brewster
- Found and assessed my daily fossils. One of them was new, so I donated it.
- Talked to all my villagers.
- Sold bugs to Flick and gave him three emperor butterflies to make a model.
- Terraformed a path to the secret beach/Redd's treasure trawler.
- Went to a Kapp'n island to gather materials.
- Decorated vacation homes for Billy and Willow.
- I'm about to go back and craft fish bait. Here, blue marlin. Heeere, fishy...
Randomly found Judy as my campsite visitor today. Finally got her to choose Camofrog to move out. I have his photo and another Cranky, so I was fine letting him go. Then I made sure to move her in fully and talked to her some.
Yesterday, Wendy wanted to leave (have her photo too), so I let her and went hunting for a new Peppy, found Patty and invited her, got her fully moved in too.
I gave gifts to some villagers since I'm trying to get everyone's photo before letting them go. I'm up to 12 photos now, but haven't played in 4.5 years! Love meeting new villagers!
I was able to finally do the "tree on the edge of a cliff" trick. It takes some practice and can get a little confusing but it's been really nice for making forested areas look more dense.
