My career is a CVT, or certified veterinary technician.
I LOVE MY JOB.
I work at a small animal clinic as the lead surgical technician.
SO i do anesthesia, prepping for surgeries, and perform dentals.
It is absolutely amazing and i wouldn't trade it for anything!

Curious to see what everyone else does for a living! :)

working at retail, starbucks and a boba shop. retail is by far the best yet the worst job i've had - its great spending time with my co workers and having a chill manager, but the customers are ****. this is one of my more permanent jobs until i graduate while everything else is just temporary to see what its like.

I'm a banker. It's alright. Very middle of the road job. Would I make it my career? Sure. But it's not the dream.

Where did you go to school? (If that's too private you can just generalize it lol). I've been thinking of becoming a CVT after getting my CPhT and have been a little confused on where to start.
At the moment I work in the accounts receivable department for a bank and also working at a warehouse (gotta build strong muscles!).

Eh currently working retail (starbucks too) right now and I wouldn't consider it a career.. the customers are horrid. I do plan on being a cosmetologist though, just haven't gotten to school yet. I need to. :<

I'm working on becoming an artist of some kind, either in 3D graphics or music. I'd prefer to go into music, but that's rather unrealistic, so I suppose I'll be a 3D artist.

I used to be a classical music buyer for a large chain of music stores. Before music stores went out of business, lol. I was a book editor and really enjoyed that. After my daughter was born, I retired so I could raise her full-time. I sporadically write now and am editing my husband's novel :)

Not really considered a job I guess, but I worked part-time as a secretary at my dad's clinic: rounding up patients, sorting out medicine, being in-charge of the counter... those kinds of small tasks. If not there, I'd run errands for my mom, like paying bills here and there and sometimes maintaning our bank account. I just kinda worked for my parents, but they pay me a decent amount of cash anyway so I'm not complaining. :'D

I hope to become a doctor one day too, just like my dad! ;v; He has a private clinic so I'd have a sure future if I continue medicine and specialize in what he specializes too. Right now I'm taking my pre-med course (Biology woo) so yeah!

I'm a hairstylist :D But at some point I'd like to get into graphic design, so i do a lot of drawing and pixel art

I'm a Research Technician at a university. I do medical research in a neuroscience lab.

I went to pima medical institute! so a vocational, technical school. I really liked it, was all about veterinary medicine. No taking random classes that dont pertain. Took me 2 years!

Thanks everyone for answering, so many different interesting lives/paths :)

i work two retail jobs now to get the bills paid, but definitely not a career, lol. once i'm more financially stable, i'm planning on becoming either a marine biologist or a zoologist/wildlife biologist, specifically with big cats. i've also considered being an astrophysicist as well, but i'm not sure i have the patience for that one.

just got a temporary job at a nail salon. i'm really surprised they hired me considering i've never taken any classes for this. i was getting my nails done and the woman doing my nails had to leave for a minute or two. while she was gone, i decided to quicken up the pace and paint the first coat of my remaining nails. when she got back, she complimented me on how well i was able to keep the coat thin and even and clean near the cuticles. she continued onto the nail art, which was a galaxy and a silhouette of the city. i noticed the way she made each brush stroke was a bit odd, but who am i to judge bc she's actually a professional lol. i offered to show her a much easier way of handling the brush on a new nail, and i basically did one nail art design for her to show her what i meant - she was so astonished by my work that even though she's aware i have other jobs and stuff, as i mentioned, she wants me to work there for a few weeks or even months considering they're a pretty popular stop but they only have two employees at the moment

thanks^^ acrylics are really fun, although i didn't learn how to work with them until today. it's rather frustrating at first and requires much more practice than i expected, but smoothing it out among the nail is really satisfying ;v;; i think we wasted like half a jars worth of acrylic powder just to help me practice lmao

Bio is a challenging major! I loved it though, couldn't see myself doing anything else!
I want to be a genetic counselor! I applied to 9 schools this time, and got 3 interviews, still haven't heard from two of them weirdly.... This is literally the hardest part of my career choose, because theres over 90% graduation rate and for getting a job within 2 months of graduating.

In the mean time I have worked at Red Lobster for 9 years. Server and Bartender now.... technically I'm a Certified Seafood Expert
