what do you bring to lunch for school/work?

I tend to batch cook and freeze meals, so at the moment lunch is a random container I've defrosted the night before.

When I've the energy to do so, I'll actively prepare breakfast and lunch to take the next day. Usually looks something like this:

I bring whatever fruit is in my fridge and a croissant/pain au chocolat from aldi or something. I don't bring much unless I know a friend will need lunch, so in that case I bring extra to give some to them. Yes, I am often called the parent of my class. At this point I've just accepted my role and learnt dad jokes to fit the role

Your salads look delicious - what do you put in them? :)

It changes based on what I have in the fridge, but vegetable wise tends to be a mix of: bak choi, radish, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, spring onions, red onions. Then with pasta, cheddar, tofu, or croutons. I always use Pizza House dressing. 🤤

.,,.,..
i dont bring lunch bc i always order something in sgbhjsbnds i'm not making good habits LOL
my work has a microwave for cooking but ive never liked reheating leftovers so, ill buy canned soups and similar things like that. not healthy i know. i tend to eat much better dinners than lunches.

My parents pack me whatever they have at home for lunch. Today was fried rice. In the past I've had steak with rice, chicken adobo (a Filipino dish) with rice, or a sandwich. (Lotsa rice dishes BTW… where my parents come from, rice is popular.)
These sound delicious!
I drive around all day for work and I pack a cooler with a crazy amount of water, some fruit snacks, cashews, protein bars, the odd uncrustable, just anything i can snack on and whatever customers give me really : )

I don't usually eat lunch, but sometimes my bf cooks me something or I'll eat whatever junk food we have lying around (I work from home).

Usually just snacks (chips, cookies, water, things of that nature.)
But I'll get the rare meal every once in awhile. A customer actually bought me In-N-Out the other month, it's a fast-food burger chain around here. 🍔

Unfortunately I have the habit of buying lunch 90% of the time 🥲 but when I do bring a lunch it's usually a thermos of soup and a granola bar.

I used to be good about making a real lunch, but lately it's just water, a small snack like a granola bar or a bag of Cheez-Its, and these combo packs of cheese + fruit + nuts.

If I have access to a fridge and microwave then I usually pack leftovers from whatever I had for dinner the night before. If I don’t have access to either of those things then I will pack more snacky items, fruit, and bread items (muffins, bagel, croissants). I like making banana bread, lemon loaf, apple cinnamon loaf, etc. and packing a few slices of that with a little bit of cream cheese spread. I’ll also just pack regular white bread toast with jam sometimes. Fruits I like to pack include bananas, oranges, and grapes. Salty snacks I like to bring would be something like crackers or trail mix. Veggies and hummus is also usually okay at room temp for a couple of hours if need be.

Another thing I like to pack would be prepackaged salads or sandwiches from a grocery store. It’s lazy food but it usually ends up being a bit cheaper than actual fast food plus I’m someone who really likes salads. If possible, I think keeping an emergency stash of snacks at work is a good idea, like granola bars or something. Even if I can’t pack a whole lunch bringing a few small snack things will reduce the amount I need to buy at lunch time so every bit helps!

Oh that's so cool! We used to have a customer who would bring us Krispy Kremes at my old job every so often, but I don't count that since he was my coworker's grandpa lol

He even brought us Little Caesars a few times. It was GREAT having that coworker around 😂
