What do you do for a job/career?!

Bio is a challenging major! I loved it though, couldn't see myself doing anything else!
I want to be a genetic counselor! I applied to 9 schools this time, and got 3 interviews, still haven't heard from two of them weirdly.... This is literally the hardest part of my career choose, because theres over 90% graduation rate and for getting a job within 2 months of graduating.

In the mean time I have worked at Red Lobster for 9 years. Server and Bartender now.... technically I'm a Certified Seafood Expert

I do research on microbiology, BUT my classes were focused on mostly field work, wich i dont really care for. Its a really nice major, but truly i expected much more.

just got a temporary job at a nail salon. i'm really surprised they hired me considering i've never taken any classes for this. i was getting my nails done and the woman doing my nails had to leave for a minute or two. while she was gone, i decided to quicken up the pace and paint the first coat of my remaining nails. when she got back, she complimented me on how well i was able to keep the coat thin and even and clean near the cuticles. she continued onto the nail art, which was a galaxy and a silhouette of the city. i noticed the way she made each brush stroke was a bit odd, but who am i to judge bc she's actually a professional lol. i offered to show her a much easier way of handling the brush on a new nail, and i basically did one nail art design for her to show her what i meant - she was so astonished by my work that even though she's aware i have other jobs and stuff, as i mentioned, she wants me to work there for a few weeks or even months considering they're a pretty popular stop but they only have two employees at the moment

wow, man. you must be really talented. this sounds like something out of a movie, and i applaud you.

i hope you get a lot out of this job.

I currently work as a brand ambassador which is simply someone who hands out food samples to customers. It's a really fun job and I love my coworkers so much.

I work a FT corporate job. Not my dream job but it pays the bills :p

I'm disabled so I don't really have a career, I'm hoping to start a YouTube channel that maybe I could make some money off of in the future, but making money on YouTube is kinda luck-based so I'm not expecting to make a living.

I'm a disabled parent, so I don't really make money... I sell crafts (plushies), but my disabilities and parental duties get in the way of turning it into something actually substantial. It definitely could be if I had the time and energy for it, but I don't.

I make comics and illustrations, mostly on the educational/informative side, though. I also work on personal artworks and projects on the side.

Work at Wallmart and do art on the side. Hoping I'll be able to do art full time soon

I work at a fast food restaurant. I used to work in retail. I definitely do not want to go to college.

I'm a business analyst for an insurance company. It was never my dream to be working an office job for a major corporation, but 20 years later and I'm still stuck here. It pays well enough, but I always wanted to do something creative or in the literary field.

I'm currently unemployed at the moment, but I'm job hunting after graduating from college so hopefully I'll find something soon! :D I hope to do something in IT, technical consulting, or web development! :D

Unemployed currently, but that'll change when I move in about a month.
Looking for something close as transportation's a bit difficult in this area.
I haven't wanted to work this much in basically forever.

Starting a new internship on Monday in a large ass library that basically is putting up books according to all the arts on the shelves. It's much more advanced than it sounds lol. Hopefully they'll hire me as well.

I work part-time at a fast food restaurant. I’m currently in college and going to graduate this May; when I do, I’ll be starting a medical technology program, so hopefully in about a year that’ll be my full-time job. :)

@Sheila that sounds really cool! I hope you get the job.

In my third year of working as a library assistant, I honestly can’t see myself doing much else even after graduating with my degree. Time will tell, I suppose.
