What do you dream/have nightmares about?

Most of the time it's work-related and my former manager is there, feelsgrossman.

As for nightmares, the usual drowning because I can't swim :' )

I have dreams about 2/3 of the time I sleep. I used to have nice and fun dreams, but it seems in the past couple of months, all of my dreams have a darker, scarier atmosphere, usually the dream being that I have to survive in some strange circumstances, which is strange because my mental state has vastly improved in the last few months. When I dream, My mind creates these epic scenes, usually with everything being impossibly tall, like every building and tree being a skyscraper. It's always first person, too, and I usually dream through my own perspective, though a couple of times I actually played overwatch in my dreams! (I was playing as sombra)

Yeah, those sorts of nightmares do not sound comfortable.... lol

I don't dream or I just can't remember them. Occasionally when I do dream, I have dreams regarding my teeth. Like my teeth falling out is the most common one. I know that's symbolic for something, but there are a lot of theories out there for this one as it is a common dream. Guess I'm not the only one out there with problems regarding the thought of my self being :p

I've mostly had nightmares lately, I can't remember the last time I actually had a (good) dream. For a while tornadoes were a center point of my nightmares, and for some reason I'm always reliving a moment of my past when they show up, but the events obviously don't make sense or are extremely muddled.

Lately I've been having nightmares about bumping into people I knew from school that I didn't get along with, and I'm always wearing horrible clothes or am a mess in some other way. I guess it's a fear of mine now since I enjoy being presentable and well-dressed.

I have nightmares about all kinds for weird things almost every night ;__; It's also especially bad because I over sleep sooooo much. No joke I can easily sleep for 12+ hours every day if I could.
Really is not fun, they're especially worse with my medication fml
Sometimes I will have a really awesome dream though so I can be thankful for those aahaha.

Yeah, because of my medication I tend to oversleep as well. I do my best to get up as early as possible though so I don’t have any bad nightmares. :)

I have nightmares about being in the halocaust, natural disasters, mass shootings, and a lot of other things that look like they should probably be in a Saw movie (Like being held captive and having my limbs torn off one by one). I do not for the life of me understand why I started having these type of dreams since I was like 3... I don't think anybody has ever showed me anything like that at such a young age?... I used to scare other kids when we would share our dreams with each other at school :'(

A more humorous reoccuring nightmare though... I dreamt the Pokemon Gengar would walk around on my ceiling at night and that dream made me terrified of Gengar. I'm still sort of holding a grudge against that Pokemon to this day.

I did have a nightmare one time that I was in a doctors office waiting room, and someone ran into the office and started shooting at things around the room and then eventually me in the chest. I remember feeling the actual pain and burning sensation. It was so weird. I was the only one that the gun was turned on... Totally messed with me for a while.

Feeling pain in dreams is weird, I often do and it sucks, but it doen't last long and it's pretty mild. However, there was this one time I had a dream about a creepy little girl reaching into my stomach and pulling my guts out and I woke up screaming in pain with my back arched so that my stomach was sticking up way toward the air. That was awful.

Geez, those nightmares sound scarier than anything I’ve ever dreamed about. The Gengar thing at the end is kind of funny though. Maybe you had a Pokemon game on and there was a Gengar in it before you went to sleep? Lol

As a kid I often dreamt of embarrassing myself or confronting something scary I saw online. Whenever I played The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask I would dream of the game’s three day cycle being in real life. The Link statue of the game became a recurring feature of my nightmares growing up. To this day I still get dreams from playing that game (and it’s the only game to have done this).

When I was a teen I dreamt about school constantly. There was usually some element like pools or different buildings, but they always involved my classmates in some way.

Now my dreams seem completely random unless there’s some major external factor (like Majora’s Mask).

My dreams sometime center around me going back to jobs that I’ve previously worked, regardless of the reason I left. I’ve had over ten different jobs. There’s usually nothing to the dream except normal happenings at the job that would normally happen. I can definitely say that I would never return to any of my previous jobs, though, especially not 7-Eleven — not that I actually could, I was terminated and put on the do not hire list for that company, lol.

I almost always dream.
I do get nightmares sometimes that are about supernatural beings, gore and gross dark stuff. I am not always attacked (its rare that I am attacked) but like, watching some of this stuff is just disturbing. I often wake from these dreams feeling pretty anxious or or just nauseous. Sometimes I will hurl from being disgusted. No I don't watch horror movies, and no blood doesn't make me nauseous.

But usually when I dream it is just regular old dreams or just weird dreams that are just bizzare or goofy when I am in alot of pain.
If I am really sick, I do tend to dream about dead relatives alot and they aren't scary. And I have always had dreams about alligators and crocodiles for some reason. Those aren't scary dreams and they don't eat me.
As a little kid I had alot of dreams about being shot at in war, chased, and big spiders. While an older kid I had alot of dreams about being late for class cuz I couldn't open my locker or I forgot the combination, being in deep water, and being afraid when I would fly with my mind. lol.

I can't remember right now what I dreamed about last night, but I didn't sleep that well anyway.

There are a couple of recurring themes in my dreams. Most of them are nightmares, but some are more neutral, neither good or bad. I rarely have good dreams, but I enjoy them when I do.

1. Being chased. I have a LOT of nightmares where I'm being chased. They're all different, including different terrain that I'm running through (buildings, fields, forests, etc.) and different people or things chasing me. But I consistently have these types of dreams.

2. Houses. Houses are a frequent focal point in my dreams. These dreams can be nightmares but they're often more neutral. I'm usually wandering through random made-up houses that have dozens of rooms and maze-like hallways. I'm usually not lost, just exploring. Sometimes in the dream, the house feels like it's supposed to be mine, sometimes it's someone else's. Sometimes I'm thinking about buying the house, sometimes I'm thinking about selling it.

3. Work or family. I often have dreams that I'm just going through my daily life. I'm working or doing chores or helping my family. They're not exactly nightmares, but I hate these dreams because I always wake up feeling like I haven't rested at all.

I have a reoccurring stress dream where I’m l climbing stairs that are getting progressively steeper, and at the same time the ceiling is getting progressively lower. I have had this dream occasionally literally since I was a kid. It has caused me to be anxious climbing steep/narrow stairs irl which is so weird

I have recurring dreams about being late to catch the school bus, even though I graduated high school a long time ago lol.

One night I had a dream about a snake eating a burrito, munching it like a person. (Surprise, surprise lol)

The other night I had a dream that Matsuko Deluxe was cast as Ursula in the live-action Little Mermaid remake, but I was disappointed to learn it didn't happen. (For those who don't know, Matsuko Deluxe is a famous talk-show host in Japan, who does his show completely in drag.)

I usually have nightmares about my younger brother dying in different situations, it's pretty scary.

The most common things to appear in my dreams are my friends/family, AC villagers, and school (as a setting).

A few reoccurring themes I have are the following, two of these I would consider nightmares, one of them I would consider pleasant:

Missing a bus
This happened more frequently when I was in school, but even though I am not in school anymore, I still have these. Thankfully I’ve never missed the bus during the afternoon, I’ve only missed it there in the morning, which missing it in the afternoon was what I was most worried about. My mom said I would have these dreams because I would be worried about missing the bus, which at the time, I believed her, because it was true. But the fact that I still have these dreams sometimes, I don’t know.

Teeth Falling Out
Again, this was more frequently when I was younger, but I still have this dream occasionally. Unfortunately. I did actually lose an adult tooth in reality in 2019, because it was decayed beyond repair.

The Sky/Multiple Moons
Obviously, this theme is the pleasant one out of the three. There’s just something so fascinating about astronomy related dreams. IDK, I just find them comforting in a unique way. I have different dreams about the sky, but most often it’s multiple moons, which again, is just fascinating to me for some reason.

However, outside of the multiple moon dreams, a couple of awesome dreams I remember having was being able to control what time of the day it was because of this turning thingy I had in the garage.

Another one I remember (this one is more recent) is being able to change the color of the sky and sun because of this device with different colors I had.

All of my dreams are realistic. Usually in settings with peers.
