what do you think the animal crossing game on the wii u will be like?

i only played the gcn and new leaf, and by watching videos on ww and cf i probably like nl the best.
do you guys think the wii u version will have you as the mayor, or let you select a map? i sure hope so. and yes, ac for wii u is confirmed. read about it here

They would probably have you as mayor again. The only thing I could think of is that it would allow you to customize the town before moving in. Down to almost any detail. I don't think they will do this, though, as in an interview with the producers I recall them talking about some of the more less cute villagers and they said, "We put them in the game so that you would get a chance to know them before discrediting them based off of looks."

It'd be tough to have to be tied to a TV with a future AC game. The 3DS is great for it.

Honestly, I hope Nintendo comes up with a new portable device by then. I can't imagine playing AC tied up to a TV. One of the reasons I love it so much is that I can play on the go, whenever I want to.

Honestly, I hope Nintendo comes up with a new portable device by then. I can't imagine playing AC tied up to a TV. One of the reasons I love it so much is that I can play on the go, whenever I want to.

the next AC Wii U should be playable on BOTH the Wii U AND 3DS. but due to obvious differences the 3DS version would play a subset of the Wii U version, or even have 3DS unique features that are not available on Wii U and vice-versa.

then i could happily continue playing AC on 3DS when i'm not at home. and when i am at home i can enjoy the full AC Wii U game version in full-screen glory.

(down the line, i would love to have them port AC to iOS, so i could play on my iphone becoz the 3DS is bulky by comparison)

The wii u NEEDS animal crossing. The wii u might be a failure, but animal crossing might give it enough profit to make it not totally a failure.

yeah, the Wii U could have been a smashing success if it launched with strong titles such as Zelda, AC, Mario, etc... oh well, Nintendo dropped the ball big time so now they are slowly trying to salvage what they can.

they should plan better next time and have good games launch with the hardware instead of several years later.. all the hardware in the world is useless without software... it's all about the software!!! -_-

heehee! no that's just my suggestion! i hope the next Wii U AC will be designed so that the main game will be playable on the Wii U and maybe a subset or portion of the game can be extended to be playable on the 3DS.. that way, we have the best of BOTH worlds and not miss a beat from the game when we are traveling with the 3DS!

All I can think of is that towns should be tiered like in previous home console games (Population Growing and City Folk). Also you should be able to get 3-tier towns like in Population Growing. I'd also love to have an acre option (Likely won't happen though )
