What Features Will Be The Same In ACHHD That ACNL Has?

Im just wondering how character customization works house wise and character options too and if stuff will be the same like ACNL

I like making my character all dressed up in different outfits depending on gender and skin color.

And I like to build and expand my house to look nice.

I also like visiting other dream addresses and seeing the weird or cool or funny things they have made with items or qr codes.

From my understanding:

Customization for the character itself is much easier, like not having to tan to pick a skin tone, picking eyes, etc, and more options open up as you continue with the game.

I don't believe the player has their own house, but after the first design for a villager, you can do whatever you want with their home, even if nothing matches the original requirement.

There won't be a map you can walk on to go from home to home, since there are going to be way too many houses for that, but you'll be able to show off specific homes via QR codes and other methods.

You have even more freedom in picking what your character will look like physically in this game, but it uses the same graphics from new leaf (same face choices, hair choices etc.) with an added skin tone option.

You do not own your own home, but you get to design 400 other homes so it's not like you're missing out. And you can upgrade and expand all the other homes and even the buildings you get to design on Main Street.

Yesterday Japan added an update to the game that allows specifically that. It's a new system called Happy Home Network, and it works the same as dream addresses. You input the numerical code or scan the qr and you can visit the home that person designed and even rate it as either cute, cool, unique, or livable.

For qr codes you no longer need a mule character to hold them. Your HHD character has around 120 save slots for the design machine which unlocks shortly after the tutorial for HHD.


The main things NOT included in this game are the 'busy work' new leaf has, such as fishing, games, bug hunting, villager errands, etc. But this game DOES have a unique style and allow you to be very artistic. It's a very niche game but one I know I will personally enjoy because my favorite aspect of this and many other games is the customization and the design part. (which is the entire game pretty much)
