I hope I worded the title properly

What kinds of tastes do you like in foods and drinks the best? Feel free to add more context and explain why

I've always been interested in desserts and sweets and I really like the looks and smells a lot but ironically my favorite flavor is definitely sour and to a lesser extent, Bitter, Earthy and Astringent
This is good because I can enjoy the tastes of healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.
I can't tolerate spicy foods because I don't like the hot taste or heat in general lol

What about you guys?

I’ll go with sweet, sour, and spicy. I’m very picky when it comes to food. I like spicy foods the best. It gives the food extra taste. I can’t stand foods with no flavor. It’s the reason I get the spicy chicken tenders from Chik-Fil-A. I like a bunch of sour and sweet candies. They are my go-to snacks when traveling, because honestly, train food is expensive.

I love sweet foods. Luckily, I'm able to have some restraint and portion them out, but if I don't eat something sweet every day I just don't feel like myself. Candy, cookies, pastries, ice cream, brownies, chocolate, and so on are my weakness.

I'm considering cheese as a rich flavor, although I'm not certain if that's correct. But if so, cheese is my absolute favorite food so it's high on the list.

I also really enjoy a lot of spicy Mexican and Indian foods, as well as the earthy and astringent flavors of fruits, vegetables, and mushrooms.

i like all of them except for bitter (with the exception of dark chocolate), but i think my favourite is either sweet or savoury. i’ve had a massive sweet tooth all my life, and love most candies, desserts, fruits etc that i’ve tried. even when i’m not hungry or feel up to eating for whatever reason, i can never turn down anything sweet. i prefer drinks that are sweet as well, over any other type.

though on the rare occasion that i don’t want sweet, savoury foods are my go-to. a lot of my favourite foods are savoury, like pizza, burgers, fries etc.

the other flavours are great, too. i love sour candy (though i can’t eat too much of it without my tongue hurting for days after), earthy foods such as turnips, mushrooms and potatoes, astringent foods such as unripened bananas (prefer them over ripened ones tbh), broccoli and brussel sprouts etc. spicy foods are okay if they’re mildly spicy, but if they’re so hot that i can’t even enjoy the taste or i have to chug my drink after one or two bites, it’s not for me lol.

Sweet, spicy, rich, salty, earthy and other (savory, meaty, zesty and sometimes bland). It depends for me too.

I voted for Sweet because my favorite food is cookies (if that is considered a food?lol) but it honestly depends on what it is.
Other good ones are salty and "spicy"(within my limits since I have a bleeding problem).
My least favorite would be sour I believe. I am just not big on that. And not huge on rich either but I like it more than sour.

Out of these flavors, I went with sour, spicy, and salty. But especially spicy. I'm a huge fan of all spicy foods, even if my stomach doesn't like me for it lol.

I love sour foods, and I have yet to encounter anything that I deemed to be "too sour". I... may have actually eaten sour things until my mouth hurt so much I cried before. Worth it, honestly. To a lesser degree, I like salty, earthy, and astringent flavors too—most of the time, I'll pick savory over sweet.
I do like sweet or spicy foods too, just in smaller amounts. Sugar makes me feel sick easily and I just don't like sweets that are too sugary, so if I'm using a recipe that has sugar, I'll almost always reduce it by at least half (or, depending on what I'm making, just cut it out altogether). As for spicy stuff, I like foods that have a little bit of a kick to them, but I can't handle anything much spicier than a little bit of cayenne. 😅

Sweet and salty are my favorites, so I picked those! Ironically, I don't like the two tastes mixed together. I also like savory foods!
I'm not a fan of the rest of the flavors though, especially spicy and sour. I have a terrible spice tolerance and sour stuff practically destroys my mouth. ; ;

Specifically— chocolate, blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, cinnamon, coffee, caramel, garlic, cookie dough, pretzel, tomato, BREAD

I enjoy very acidic and/or spicy foods, specifically balsamic vinegar, pickled/brined vegetables, and pretty much anything with cayenne pepper. I don't care for sweets at all and have never had much of a sweet tooth, though I do get occasional cravings for tart treats such as lemon bars.

All of the above. Not at once of course, but I just like having a diverse palate. Sometimes I might be craving one or above of the flavors.

Sour is my favorite because I adore the sour taste of candy. I also love the taste of sour plums ever since I was a kid. I also like sweet foods like fruits, cakes, and whatnot, though I eat them in moderation. Likewise, I can only eat sour foods to a certain extent cuz I remember eating these sour Skittles at the movie theater that made my lips and tongue dry. I'm also not fond of very sweet-tasting barbecue sauces.

Spicy is definitely my least favorite. I can only tolerate it in moderation like chutney sauces to add some flavor to meals, but otherwise I hate the taste of chili peppers cuz they're too spicy. I also like to eat plain foods once in a while that are somewhat low in sodium.

Voted for rich, salty, and sweet!

Rich (I think this is umami/ savory) is one of my favorite flavor profiles because it's really hard to describe but makes me feel really satisfied. I think it's immediately noticeable when this flavor is missing from a dish.

Salty is great because it's noticeable and really activates my tastebuds. If a food isn't salty enough, it's super noticeable and immediately hurts my eating experience. Usually if I feel something is missing from my cooking, adding just a tad bit more salt helps!

And finally, sweetness. I think this one works well with Rich and Salty because it heightens those two flavors. It also makes things like cake and candy taste delicious, and I end up craving a little something sweet occasionally.

I like both sweet and salty things! Chocolate is my all time favorite dessert, and I love salty snacks like potato chips or french fries.

Spicy, cheesy, salty. I love soft pretzels, hot peppers straight out of the jar and I adore pasta.
