I've been here for a month now, still a little new, although I haven't figured out what Bump is. I think it has to do something with 'Still Looking' or something.

People bump their thread to move it back to the top of the forum, so people can see it again.

It's what camels have. Also you get one if you're pregnant or fat!

Joking, it's to bring yourpost to the top of the first page so it's visible to others and you're more likely to buy, sell, trade, chat about, play or give what you wish to

BUMP to bring up somebody's post typically by posting the word "bump" on a message board*Can also stand for*Bring*Up*My*Post. bump!
Gotta love the urban dictionary

- - - Post Merge - - -

In message board terms, to move a post to the top of the forum with a pointless reply, usually to one's own thread.John likes to bump his threads because he wants more replies to his post.

This word is posted to a topic tread if the poster wants to re-call attention to the thread. Most regular forum users typically hit "new posts" to read new posts since their last visit, so an old topic will be lost to these readers. Bumping a topic is essentially "bumping" it back into view for most readers.

In message board terms, to reply to a topic that has become inactive, thus "bumping" the thread to the top of the thread list.

Bring*Up*My*PostsThe word 'bump' is often used in a*forum*to get more views, or in*Gaia Online, to get more gold. Bumping is also a useful way to get more views in a support forum and to get more gold in Gaia Online.Sometimes, bumps aren't allowed and you can get suspended/banned for spamming.HonorOfTehNinja: bump*TehPro banned HonorOfTehNinja*(Reason: Spamming. This isn't Gaia Online, you know)

) to play bass-heavy music at a disturbingly high volume; (2) to play bass-heavy music at a pleasantly high volume

Sooo, yeah...thank urban dictionary!

it stands for 'bring up my post'

it's basically to bring a thread up to the top of the first page of a part of the forums so people are more likely to see it

though i'm not sure why it's called 'bring up my post' when we're actually bringing up threads

pretty sure bring up my post is a backronym

and bump was literally short for "bump my thread up to the top"
