I've been uploading my screenshots to a private twitter account so far, but that's of course very slow and I think you don't get the full resolution in your pictures as well? So I've been thinking of what to do. I think most people just take out the microSD card and put it in their computer right? But that thing is so flimsy, I get kind of nervous thinking about doing that regularly. I know you can transfer stuff to your phone and I think use a cable somehow as well, but I didn't look into it yet.

What method do you use to move your screenshots and how is that working out for you?

I usually use the “share” option and share to my smartphone. It gives you a QR code and you can use your phone to open it and connect to an online link where you can save the photos. You can batch upload them that way too.

Usually when I need just a couple of screenshots (i.e. for TBT events), I'll just use a private Twitter account I have set up for Switch uploads. If I want to bulk transfer all of them to clear up room, I'll connect my Switch to my laptop via a USB-C to USB-A cable (if you got something like the Switch Pro Controller, you can just re-use the cable that came with it), copy the screenshots/videos to my laptop, then go through and delete the screenshots/videos on my Switch. That's the fastest way of transferring them since you aren't limited to how many you can move over at once, unlike with trying to use QR codes and Twitter/Facebook uploads.

I connect the Switch to the computer and copy them... tried the QR code phone thing but it's annoying and you can only do a small number at once

I upload my switch photos and videos to facebook. You can make them private so only you can see them if you want. Then save them to your computer or phone from there.

I always connect it to my computer since I take a lot of pictures. The mobile phone method is such a hassle and limited.

I send my photos directly to my phone then post them to my journals. You can send 10 at a time. I also post some of them on Twitter.

I have a Micro SD Adapter so I just pop the sd card into that and pop that into my PC ... I don't take thousands of photos every day so I don't need to do it that often ...

I usually do the sending directly to your phone, you can select up to 10 images, and it's fairly quick. You just scan a QR code to connect to your switch, scan another to get your images and save them to your phone. If I want them on my computer I just send them to my google photos and access that on my computer.

I use the SwitchBuddy app (iOS) to streamline the switch to phone directly process. Makes it so so much faster. There is an android app that does the same thing but I don’t remember the name.

I created a private twitter and upload photos that way. I don't think it ruins the photos in any way either.
I was also told taking out the memory card is risky, so I preferred not touching that.

I use a cable to transfer via USB to the computer (this ability came with an update so there are articles around - IIRC you go to Manage Photos and Videos in Settings). My laptop has an SD slot but would also rather not remove the card. It’s pretty simple but I did need to download an Android File Transfer app for it to work on Mac. On Windows it should just show up.

The QR code thing to send the pictures to your phone never works for me so I just use Twitter as well. Directly connecting your console to your computer sounds like the better option though for quality purposes? If that's possible for you ofc.

first off, regarding resolution, when you take a screenshot it's gonna decrease in resolution a bit regardless of where it goes. the resolution of a screenshot taken by the switch itself will never be the same as the in-game quality.

I personally save all my videos/screenshots onto a micro SD card inserted into the switch, that way when I want to move them to my computer I can easily take out the SD card, put it into an adapter, and plug it into my computer.

I have a burner Facebook account that I only use for my screenshots and videos. I’m logged into it on my tablet so it’s super easy for me!

I just upload them to Twitter from the Switch itself through the connection you can make to the account. I haven't really found a better method yet for a desktop/non-mobile user like myself yet.

I'm using Twitter as well and I've found that by far to the most convenient. It uploads pretty quickly for me and I only have to press about 2 buttons and forget about it. I don't think I'd brave enough to mess with the SD card...
