I'm talking about that one DIY recipe that you want but cannot seem to find. Not inside bottles on the beach, never being crafted by any of your villagers, it just doesn't seem to exist in your game.

Mine is so dumb but I've been playing for over a year and have yet to find the recipe for the Wooden mini-table... I really took that one for granted on my last save :cry: I miss you little guy...
 
it’s the golden ladder set-up kit, iron ladder set-up kit, open wooden shelves and wooden box diys for me. i’ve been trying to catch up to present time in my game for almost a year now after taking several hiatuses, and i haven’t come across any of those diys once. they’re the only diys i’m missing now, so i realize rng isn’t in my favour with how many other diys are in the game, but man lol. i rarely see other people selling/trading them either, so i’m definitely questioning whether or not they actually exist. 🤣

i’ve made it a goal to try and obtain all 2.0 diys by myself, but if i still haven’t got them by the time i’m caught up to present time (whenever that is lol), i think i’m just gonna buy them from someone. i’m so sick of diy hunting lmao.
 
For me it was the Pitfall Seed until the 2.0 update added it to the cabinet in Nook’s Cranny. That thing should not have been so hard to get or have a pitfall appear randomly on your Island especially when there are two different Nook Mile Achievements associated with them.

ugh the RNG can be really stubborn, right? I'll keep my eye out for the DIYs mentioned! stay strong friends

also I'd like to give a shoutout to the Moon and Moss Cave DIYs, both of which have special spots on my island where I'd put them... If I had them!!!! 😤
 
For me it was the hedge. I started playing after Nature Day was removed from the game, and no matter how much or how often I bought from Leif every time he visited my island, I never got it from him. I ended up buying it from another player who got it for me through nookazon.
 
It was the golden garden rabbit, but I (finally!) got it a few weeks ago. I think I’m still missing a few of the fruit DIYs…past that, not sure.
 
I'm still missing five of the flower wreath/crown recipes despite playing almost every day since the game came out. One day. It's even harder now that half the opportunities are wasted on villagers cooking instead of crafting

Sorry for yelling. I was just surprised. Why no one has told me this?
 
The Palm tree lamp. Once I saw it over on Happy Home Paradise I desperately wanted it. I tried and tried, but I couldn't wait any longer, so I requested it from the lovely @Liz! and I have several palm trees scattered around now. About a month ago I did get the Palm tree DIY, so used that one over on my 2nd island.
 
When I first started playing on my first island, it was the wooden table recipe. I really really wanted it but couldn't ever seem to get it. Along with that, all the cherry blossom, tree's bounty, and mush recipes were challenging. I was especially annoyed that a cranky villager gave me the bonsai shelf recipe but it took forever to get the pine bonsai and cherry bonsai recipes required to make before you can craft the shelf. Oh yeah, and I had the ironwood cupboard recipe way before the dresser required to make that. I remember it was all very annoying before someone told me about online play and trading.

I hate the cooking recipes so much since when you cook most of the food items and place them, they are 1 x 1 and you can't even tell what they are. I wish we didn't get duplicates of those all the time and instead were given recipes we don't have.

Agh that happened to me on my first save! Had the bonsai shelf recipe for the longest time but still needed the cherry bonsai; Had to wait a whole year and when spring came back around, on the very first day of cherry blossom season... I got it!

Stupid thing is, after I finally built myself the bonsai shelf... I didn't care for it that much?
It's fine but I definitely overrated it in my own mind lol

Probably more that I can't think of right now... I don't play actively these days 😅
 
Mine is that dang garden bench. No matter what I do I can't find it. Every time I offer for it on Nookazon no one seems to have it, and the ones that do are unresponsive >_>
