i just finished reading 'carry on' by rainbow rowell and lemme tell you, it's like #1 with my top favorite books oi've ever read. rainbow rowell is such a good writer, her writing gets me everytime. fangirl was so good, and so was eleanor and park. but carry on was the best though for two reasons:
1- THEY'RE GAY MAGICAL WIZARDS
2- THE PLOT.WAS.SO.WELL.THOUGHT.OUT.I.DIED.
my favorite series is probably percy jackson, but i like many others.
i'm such a book nerd
Ender's Game! I don't like the books that came after it, but I like the companion Shadow series. It follows another character from Ender's Game. I absolutely love it.
My favorite book will always and forever be Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. It's where I got my ACNL mayor and town name from. It's really hilarious. It's set 11 years before, and then during the apocalypse.
I really like the Artemis Fowl series. My favorite book in the series is The Time Paradox. Time travel stories always make interesting connections and I like to read them more than once to see little hints I missed the first time. Kingdom Keepers is pretty cool too. Gotta love Disney. I tend to prefer YA fiction. Adult fiction tends to be a bit violent for me, but I'll still read it if the story is good, like the Night Angel trilogy.
Harry Potter by JK Rowling
The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
Throne of Glass Series by S J Mass,
Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
My favourite series is the GONE series. It's a lord-of-the-flies clone, but all the kids are magic, and it's fairly decent. It'll change when I finally get my hands on The Enemy and everything Robert Muchamore. >.> I think it gets interesting after Fear (GONE.)
My favourite series is always and forever Harry Potter.
Other than that, I love anything by Bill Bryson, who's an amazing and hilarious travel writer, and lots of my favourite fiction books are on a dark theme (because I'm a pretentious emo fourteen year old, apparently) with an interesting first-person narrative; Iain Banks' The Wasp Factory, Lionel Shriver's We Need to Talk About Kevin, and Emma Donaghue's Room are all really excellent.
I'm a pretty big fan of The Moomins book series (haven't read all of it thought, I;m working on it), but my favourite author for now is probably Diana Wynne Jones. I'm a sucker for well done fantasy stories
