all hydrangea verities r my fav, but the macrophylla (ones that can change from pink to blue n vice verse) is def top. blue is pretty rare in plants and you can find hydrangeas in quite a few shades of it! i have some that are periwinkle, some that are royal blue, some that are baby blue, and my personal fav, a dusty blue
a close 2nd is a species of hibiscus that’s actually native to the us. it goes by several names, but most often i hear dinner plate hibiscus, and tbh i find them more impressive than the more popular tropical verities, as they have larger blooms, hence the dinner plate nickname
I absolutely LOVE peonies! They are so beautiful, I can't get enough of them.
But I actually like every type of flower with big blossoms, they look so wonderful..
I'd have to go with Wisteria but magnolias and Canterbury bells come at a close second.
Magnolias are very nostalgic for me, reminds me of summers in my summer home when my mom would bake pie and I'd sit by the pier until my uncle would ride over from across the lake the houses circled on his boat and would pick me up so me and my sister could go tubing and we always played the Spongebob version of The Game of Life for some reason. There were lots of magnolias around the house. Gorgeous flowers and even better smelling.
Canterbury Bells are more of a future, idealistic thing for me. Ever since I got a tour of Buckingham palace and the royal gardens I've wanted a grand home on the country side with a big garden where I grow Canterbury bells and hold garden parities with all my friends.
Wisteria reminds me of myself and my current situation. It reminds me of my boyfriend and happiness, words cannot describe how gorgeous the blooms are. I don't have much to say besides that but I think you get the gist.
