Christmas definitely! It's not even the fact that you get presents, I only get a few and it is just what I ask for so no surprises, it is mostly the atmosphere that I love! Everything seems so warm and cosy, even though the weather outside is cold and dull, the beautiful decorations light up everything and make the world seems that but more friendly! The smell of cinnamon and apple seems to follow you, probably because I have scented candles but the smell is just so lovely and calming. It is a time for family when everyone can sit together and watch cheesy Christmas movies and sing along (badly) to the carols that are always playing on the radio. And on Christmas eve, even though you have grown up and don't get excited like you used to, that nostalgic tingly feeling always makes its way to me and I can sleep soundly and have happy dreams and just be at peace, even if just for a night. I always have fun putting up the Christmas decorations and the (fake) Christmas tree, placing the glitter covered reindeers and miniature figurines around the place even though we know perfectly well they will be knocked down countless times, arranging the light up snow globes that ran out of battery years ago but we still put them up for old times sake... I get happy just thinking about it!
As for other holidays, none really appeal to me, I never celebrated Easter, April fools day, Saint patricks day, Valentine's day or the like so they don't matter to me. Halloween is fun sure, but it just could never make me feel the same joy that Christmas gives. (I don't live in the US so I don't celebrate independence day btw)
