There are SO many cute and fun furniture items in New Leaf. But at the end of the day, my favorite is definitely the Cicada Stereo that's part of the Insect Series awarded during the Bug Off.
It's SO cute. I LOVE that its wings vibrate while playing music. I also really like the little stump that it's attached to. It goes really well with wallpaper designs that include trees, like the forest and alpine walls. Needless to say, I was heartbroken when I learned that it wasn't included in New Horizons.
The sanrio set is adorable! I particularly love the My Melody and Kiki + Lala sets (〃ω〃) The colours are so pretty and go perfectly with the look I'm trying to go for in my town!
It's really hard to narrow it down to just one piece, but I think I'll go with the Blossom Lantern. I think it's so beautiful and it's something I would use in my own house in real life. A close second is the stained-glass lamp. I love all of the different customization options.
I like the Fire Bar piece from the Nintendo Items set. I gathered a whole bunch of Fire Bars in Animal Crossing New Leaf to create a fiery Fire Bar maze in one of my rooms in the house. It was very unique and cool to see multiple Fire Bars spinning around altogether in one room. I also made the walls and the flooring a pitch black coloring so that the background would stand out even more while the Fire Bars continuously spun around. One of the funniest things about the maze that I created with the Fire Bars was that the sound effects produced by the Fire Bars sounded distorted since I used more than a dozen Fire Bars all at once in a single room and it sounded funny whenever you would walk into the maze room to hear all of the Fire Bars making noises.
The Zelda items, hands down. All the Zelda items fit so perfectly with my medieval castle theme. So many great items like the Master Sword and the Fairy in the jar. However, my favourite would have to be the Rupee because it could be customised to different colours.
NL has the best furniture imo! I love basically all the food items, especially the shopping bag and stew pot. I like a lot of the Zelda items too, they work especially well for a fantasy-themed house,,
I love some of the DLC items (too bad they're not distributed anymore for the newer players ), the toys and nursery items (I have an attic in my ACNL home that's a nursery, see my profile for my dream address if you'd like to see it ), the snowman set, the fruit set (including the pineapple bed, even if it's sadly not part of that set), and the New Nintendo 3DS and Wii U since you can actually play games on those. Now that I think of it, they remind me of how you can actually play on the NES/Famicom in Population: Growing, and how you can also play NASU on the Famicom in Yume Nikki
