Yep, gotta be Mariah's All I Want For Christmas!!! I work at a retail store. We're playing lots of Christmas music thats slow and beautiful. But this song is a bop! It makes me wanna dance and gets my energy way up.
I saw a drag show last year at Christmas time. One of the queens sung that. 2019 was a good year
i’m probably gonna get flamed for this lmao and while i know lea michele is uh,, questionable, her cover of “O Holy Night” is honestly so, so gorgeous and always gives me goosebumps whenever i listen to it.
I can't give the names of the performers, but everything on the Claymation Christmas is awesome, particularly "We Three Kings" (with camels singing the chorus in doo-wop), "Carol of the Bells" (with Maestro Quasimodo conducting), and The California Raisins belting out "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer".
It's really hard for me to pick just one song, but I'd say that (for right now, at least) my favorite Christmas song is Ingrid Michaelson's version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." I'll say that my 2 favorite Christmas albums are Ingrid Michaelson's "Songs for the Season" and the Barenaked Ladies' "Barenaked for the Holidays." I listen to them both repeatedly during the holiday season.
I love all the Christmas standards by the stars of yester-yesteryear- Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Elvis, Dean Martin...
i think Ella Fitzgerald's 'Swingin Christmas' is the best holiday album ever
here's a few holiday songs maybe not everyone knows tho:
Christmas Song by Nat King Cole
Where Are You Christmas by Faith Hill
Last Christmas by Wham
Grown-Up Christmas List by Charice
Christmas Shoes by NewSong (sad song, but I love it)
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays by NSYNC
Christmas Canon by Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Barry Manilow
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Darlene Love
Merry Christmas Darling by Carpenters
All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey
I love Christmas music and too many to list, but the ones above are my favorites.
lately i've been getting fond of Last Christmas by Wham! because i like to imagine just doing your business in a convenience store and this poor dude who got rejected on christmas starts singing about it but not sounding very sad just kinda,, chill haha
i also have really good memories of learning both Emmanuel and Himig ng Hangin by the Bukas Palad Music ministry for choir! Himig ng Hangin especially makes me nostalgic because i learned it back in high school and also the alto parts sound cool on their own which is,, rare lmao. They're both very good songs even though the lyrics are kinda religious? I love the bit where they go oooooOoOoooooooh~ aaaAAAAAaaaaah~ aAAAAAAaaaaaaah ooooooooh~
special mention to Merry Christmas, Kiss my A** by All Time Low which got me through a rough breakup in my teenage years hehehe good times good times
I know I'm a bit late here but this was such a fun question I didn't wanna ignore it.
I really love Last Christmas by WHAM!, it's such a good tune. Also, anything by Frank Sinatra is sooo good. I love his Christmas music. And Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt is another one of my personal favorites c:
There will never be a Christmas song like All I Want For Christmas Is You. Legendariah Carey's songwriting is unparalleled. She somehow wrote a song that instantly sounded like a classic, so much so that people often think that it's a cover of an older song, and also fresh enough that it doesn't sound dated when it's blasted every year since it came out.
