Hello Travellers (and non-travellers alike) 🏝 😊 💕

Where would you love to travel? What's your ideal destination?

What would you like to see, do, and experience? Tell me!

Poll note: I have included only the Top 12 most visited destinations by international tourist arrivals (in 2018; according to the UNWTO World Tourism Baromteter), plus "Other".

i'd love to go to japan, one day :D

my japanese isn't that great, though :< apart from singing, that is :>

I'm a sucker for tropical climates, I just think white sands and warm blue waters are the definition of vacation for me. I live in the Pacific Northwest so around here it's all rocky gravel beaches, cold green water, and gray skies. Don't get me wrong I love where I live, but sometimes you just want to chill on the beach with an umbrella drink and go ocean swimming without turning blue.
I would also love to visit Japan because the culture is so intriguing to me from the traditional festivals to the modern anime and video game culture. Germany would be cool to visit because my family migrated to the US from there and I don't have a strong connection with my heritage. A few others that would be amazing the UK, Italy, Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, and Australia.

Though I hate crowds so travel is very stressful for me in general

I think my top travel destination country right now would be France? I've been to Paris and Versailles but France is huge. Followed by Japan, Italy, Greece and Spain. Not that crazy interested in Spain but I'd like to have been there at least. I limited myself to five countries for the poll so I chose those (other for Greece).

My boyfriend is Italian and I've been to Italy many times, but only in the north of Italy, I would love to see the "whole" country. I've also been to Japan for five months (only Tokyo and its surroundings though because of my budget) but I can't help wanting to go back after a few years. 🙈

Also I'm Austrian so I have travelled a lot of it already so can't choose that. lol

My idea travel destination is New Zealand or somewhere very tropical. The Philippines and Thailand are also very high on my list. I love warmer climates, so I’d always research the weather before I go somewhere. :)

I'd like to go back to Japan. I went there once for about a week for vacation, then I lived there 3 years. But I still haven't seen everything I want to see.

I'd also like to go to Australia and/or New Zealand. I like hiking and bird watching, and those seem like great places for that, especially because the birds available there will largely be different from what you can see in North America.

Japan's actually surprisingly easy to get around even if you don't know any Japanese, especially in Tokyo. The train station and airport signs are also in English. Also, most restaurants in Japan either have pictures on the menu or a display with fake food, so you can point to what you want if needed. Some actually even have English menus! Japanese people are also very helpful and will try to help you as best as they can, even if they don't necessarily know much English.

I'd like to visit Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland.. there's still some places in the US I'd like to see despite originally being from there lol.

I would love to visit Scotland, Greece, Japan, and Australia! They all seem like great places with nice sights to see!

I love and appreciate that no one has voted for the US yet. I mean it's not awful here, there are a lot of awesome sights no matter where ya go, but it's also pretty eh in terms of people.

my ideal travel destination is Germany bc I've been studying the language for two years now and I've come to appreciate their language and culture. my brother went there in 2019 and he had an amazing time. I've also considered traveling to Japan, my dad has been there and it seems really fascinating. as an American it would prob be quite a culture shock for me too lol

definitely new zealand!!! i’ve been wanting to travel there ever since i did a project on it in 7th grade lol, idk why it interested me so much but hopefully when i’m older and have the money, i can go there someday 😆

I live in Japan and would like to do some traveling outside of the country once it's safe!

I've been to Korea 3 times (back when I was study abroad here for various reasons, in total it'd be about 2 weeks of time) and was thinking about going for a 3-day weekend in fall a couple of years ago but never got around to it.

There's also plenty of other Asian countries I'd like to visit and I've never been to Europe so probably at some point.

But honestly I really missed the ball not traveling more when I lived in the US. It's so big that even if I go back to travel it's not like you can cover much ground at once. And there's such a variety for terrain. There's a lot of places I'd like to visit and things to do that I can't do/see in Japan. Even just like going to conventions, local conventions over there are better than anything here lol

I'm not much of a traveler because it stresses me out, but there are a few places that I would love to see in person one day.

Australia and New Zealand would be amazing to visit because of the wildlife, but I'd really love to settle down there some day. Maybe when I retire...

Japan is also high on my list since I'm very interested in their culture, including ancient shrines and castles plus modern day anime and cosplay.

Egypt is another country I've always been interested in, especially their history. I would love to see the pyramids, statues and tombs up close.

There are so many places I would like to go. Growing up my family never went anywhere it wasn't until I was an adult that I travelled on my own and I found that I really do enjoy it!

Some of my top desired destinations at the moment are Australia/New Zealand, Germany, France, South Korea, Philippines, and Taiwan. I love places with cool history and/or interesting food!

I'd love to go to a lot of countries. However, East Asian countries, mainly Japan, have been my main ones my heart has been set on. I'd also really like to visit South Korea and Taiwan, and probably Singapore too.

i’d honestly love to travel all over the world one day, but the one place that i’m dying to go to is las vegas as that’s where a very close friend of mine lives. we’ve been friends for over 4 years now and during the entire time that we’ve known each other, they’ve been nothing but a great friend who has stuck by me through a lot of hardships. i don’t wanna start rambling lol, but they mean a lot to me and i’d really love to be with them in-person and be able to hang out with them.

plus, my mom has always wanted to visit las vegas as well, so i’d love for us to have that experience together. 💗

I was supposed to go to Japan this summer since a family friend moved there a couple years ago, but didn't end up going due to the pandemic. I still would love to travel there at some point as well as many places in Europe and maybe Australia.

I would love to go to Japan and visit some merchandise stores in-person, but I'd want to buy a lot, so in terms of finances, that one's a ways off for me for a few reasons. Germany and Scotland are other places I'd love to visit someday, just to sightsee.
