What little side features are you hoping to see?

The other games have had their nice small features, such as the secret alien on TV, Pascal showing up when you find a scallop, tanning (which will probably not be a thing), or furniture falling from trees

So what sort of little things are you looking forward to/hoping for?

I personally think it'd be interesting if instead of tanning, you could get sunburned :0 I know that's not a particularly good thing, but I think it'd be a nice touch for an island getaway

Tell me your ideas! :D

I don't know if this would count as a side feature or not but since we have the Nook Phone now I hope that when a villager makes plans with us to go to their house or our house that it would come up as like a notification or reminder on the phone.

Like if you were to go to Fuchsia's house at 11:30 but it was like 10:30, it would remind you 10 minutes or so beforehand or show up in an app on your phone that would be stored there for you to be reminded. The reason why is I can't tell you how many plans with my villagers I've forgotten about and they've gotten mad which then results in a lower friendship.

That would be so cool! I forget villager's plans all the time too haha, so an in-game reminder would be pretty useful

In case The Roost coming back, maybe if you get asked if you want to have a coffee but says no,
Brewster offers you something different to drink, like maybe tea or water, for those who don't like
coffee.

Multiplayer needs more activities, and fewer restrictions.

In current games, a lot of features stop working during multiplayer, and there isn't much to do, so things get boring.

They have gotten better with New Leaf. In Wild World for example, during multiplayer, all villagers would be restricted to their homes.

Great !
I'm used to skipping threads where people ''suggest ideas'' or ''express wishes'', because, let's face it, often times most of them are half-cooked ideas that either doesn't mesh well with the Animal Crossing series or are blatantly bad.

But I'm glad I clicked on this one because the Nookphone villagers notification idea from Becca617 is a great one. But, that's not all, jekabu's idea is also great. It just adds esthetic or Quality of life characteristics to other more important features. Great job guys !

I would like to be able to ask villagers for work directly like in ACGC.

I really want a way to change the hourly soundtrack with that of older games. It would add yet another aspect to customize and could be reasonably implemented in a few ways.

I'd kinda like Gulliver's Flying Saucer to return, but since we're on a Tropical (Not really tropical if there's Cedar trees...) Island, its likely we'll get the Sailor Gulliver again. But come on, we haven't seen his Flying Saucer since City Folk.

Perhaps it got removed due to a nostalgic reasoning with his sailor outfit, or he had enough with his Flying Saucer crashing down.
Then again, he always gets into a storm (Which is always named Lizzy....) which causes him to get beached, which causes him to be clumsy yet again. So with being a Sailor or Space Cadet, he's always in some sort of trouble.

Or you know. When your character wears clothing not appropriate for the weather. Long Sleeves in the Summer, and Tanks, Shorts and Barefoot in the Winter. Your player will be Sweaty/Shivering at random times instead of coming out of your house the first time you load your game up/visiting someone's town right at the train station. Also you'll move a bit slower due to the incorrect clothing option for that specific season.
