Finishing collections! I'm getting closer to finishing my orderables with the help of some friends. Still missing some fall DIYs but I might end up buying them because I hate farming for balloons.
Villager interactions. I'm trying to get most of the photos of my villagers myself. So it motivates me to talk to them everyday.
I haven't done much island decorating lately because I can't decide what to do with this weird section of my island but I try to adjust stuff little by little to see what I like.
What an interesting thread!
My choices were: -interactions with villagers: I used to love talking with my villagers all the time. I was especially entertained when joining in a conversation between two villagers. Unfortunately as time went by, the dialogues were starting to repeat themselves, so at a certain point, I talked with my villagers less, but I still always love seeing them do different things on my island, and taking photos of them once in a while. with the upcoming update, I am super looking forward to interacting with them more with all the new reactions! -decorating your island's exterior and/or terraforming & waterscaping: Decorating and terraforming has always been a big challenge for me, as it is for many people. The frustration of not seeing an area turn out the way I imagined has discouraged me many times. However, it feels so great and immensely satisfying when you finally get to finishing an area and loving the way it looks, and seeing your villagers walk in the paths you forged and blend in nicely in the sceneries you made. -community aspect (online play/playing with friends/helping people out): Getting into TBT made me discover a whole other side of animal crossing that I never knew I needed. I enjoy participating in misc events such as Celeste and Catalog ones, and hosting them as well. And joining in the community has helped me out sooo much in getting DIYs and items I want 100x faster. I also stumbled upon many kind and generous people in the forum and it made me want to help people out as well. And of course participating in events organized by the staff has been a great enjoyment.
completing collections For me the Museum collecting is my favorite part of this game. dream addresses I love seeing other people's islands and their perspective on things. I will be doing alot more of this now that we have a random option and I don't have to use a computer website to do so. something to do everyday this one I feel is the less charged of my reasons of my favorite aspect of the game. I do love it though. Don't get me wrong. There is always something to do which is great.
Something that wasn't mentioned
This game gives me freedom. I have some physical limitations in real life. I just feel I can do fun things in this game that I can't do in real life anymore. This game also helps me with my anxiety problem. It is something fun and relaxing to do.
I really really adore this installment in the series.
I still play daily, and I don't find myself getting tired of the game anytime soon. I do play for about 4 hours a day (spread throughout the day). I do my morning routine around 5 AM, and then I get off to wait for the Nook's Cranny to open, so I can sell some stuff. Then I talk to my villagers as they wake up for the day. I also do a ton of fishing and bug catching.
I am really really enjoying this game. I love visiting other people's islands through the dream feature, and I love being able to decorate my island (even though I haven't much decorating on the exterior of my island at the moment, mainly because my island is supposed to be New Leaf themed).
I am really excited for the upcoming update that releases on the 19th! All of those reactions, and the Harvest Festival, and Toy Day making a return. I am looking forward to being able to sit on the ground for the first time ever! This game is so cute and relaxing I cannot get enough of it.
