What rocked and what sucked on your island today?

I thought it might be fun to have a thread where we can share everything that rocked and sucked on our islands today. I'll start:

What rocked

- Got a pair of blue heart-shaped sunglasses in a balloon present this morning and I've been wearing them all day.
- The museum is officially open and I donated a load of fish, bugs and fossils I'd saved up while it was being built.
- It was Axel's birthday today so I went to his house to celebrate my first villager birthday in the game. He also seemed to love the present I got him.
- Held opening ceremonies for the bridge, Nook's Cranny and the museum this morning (I got slightly behind with this lol.)
- Scraped together enough bells to pay off the first expansion of my home.
- Saw Harvey on my island and unlocked Photopia.
- Went on two mystery tours.

What sucked

- Thought Photopia was a bit meh if I'm honest.
- Got bitten by a tarantula.

Got a BEAUTIFUL Victorian dress from a balloon, found a sweet vampire costume and flight jacket in a friend's town, caught a few special-location fish I was having trouble with, found the island with all the blue/pink/orange hyacinths and caught a bunch of emperor butterflies on it to sell to Flick--who's visiting today--for over 35k bells altogether. Very fun.

BUT the minute I got a task to catch a wasp for Nook Miles, I immediately lost the power to catch wasps properly, despite never having been stung since I started the game. Now I've gotten wreckt thrice over today. Tragic.

What Rocked And Sucked! :

I got some cool items through trading! Though, two of the items I will re-sell due to the wrong colors ):
I went to four (???) different mystery islands today and they all turned out like crap! I got some oranges and some orange windflowers (PM Me if you're interested in the orange windflowers if u read this, anybody! They are plantable!)

what was good today:
- i also went to axel's birthday today! which was pretty cool
- got some star fragments on the beach that i collected but i'm not sure what they are for.
- sold a bunch of bugs that i caught on an island yesterday and got some bells :3
- got a nice moving ocean wallpaper from saharah

what sucked
- went to 2 random islands and they were generic. i've been dreaming about finding those hybrid islands or tarantulas/sharks islands to get some money. but i haven't got any luck so far
- i've been trying to breed hybrids and i didn't get any cosmos hybrids today :/ yesterday i got 2 pink ones
- didn't get any good furniture itens in my stores or in balloons
- was trying to pop a balloon but my slingshot broke. i went to craft a new one and the balloon disappeared

What was good today for me was finding bamboo island on a mystery tour. What sucked was getting bit by a tarantula and getting stung by wasp

Rocked: Audie is moving to my town.


Sucked: Sold many items in the bin outside of Nook's Cranny and didn't realize the price is reduced when doing so.
I was excited to see Harvey in my town, but then it diminished after seeing he runs Photopia. I don't have any amiibo cards.

What rocked was having Lolly fully moved in! She’s so adorable and I’m happy to have her! What sucked is I’ve been sort of disorganized and I’m not sure what direction to take with my island yet. I’m sure I’ll have more ideas tomorrow! （^人^）

Got suprised this morning: The nook tent is already upgrading! Thought it would much more time without TT to be honest also it rains! So it's rar fish time haha

what rocked:

• saw saharah for the first time and got some animated flooring uwu
• museum was finally completed and i could donate the rest of my stuff lmao
• piper moved in and she’s a pretty gal
• tammy taught me a recipe for a shell lamp which i now have on the beach

what sucked:
• today was uneventful compared to the last few days
• nook’s cranny didn’t have anything i wanted

It's all explained on here but basically you can use them to craft things such as a Star Wand which allows you to change your entire outfit in an instant, and quite a few other cool items too.

-Sparro keeps giving me cute clothes
-Got a bamboo island, my first rare island
-There was a meteor shower, and I made tons of wishes
-Sahara sold me a moving wallpaper
-I bought roses in someone's town

What sucked

-Freckles is moving in tomorrow, LOL
