I'm watching the k-drama series True Beauty, it's really good! I'm not normally someone who notices camera work/light etc. but this show stands out to me from other dramas I've watched in that area, besides the writing.
I know the term 'Gary Stu' is overused these days but dang, the two human protagonists are the absolute embodiment of it. No wonder some people said every episode was the same - these two never fail at anything despite being dumped in an entirely different time period and always somehow end up being liked by everyone. I'm not even sure what Galen gets out of this 'friendship', all they ever seem to do is criticize him or upstage him.
I was watching Pokemon, just finished the first season, but I'm not about to shell out even more money to Amazon to watch the rest of the older seasons. Now I'm watching Digimon instead.
watching friends from the start (just started season 2! only ever seen it from season 6 or so onwards)
still watching inside no. 9, and also gonna restart series 1 of the league of gentleman
also i kissed a boy
I’ve been binge watching Vanderpump Rules from the beginning because of all the drama that I’ve seen trending with the cast in current time. I love me some trashy reality tv
I've been planning on watching more than one episode of Haikyuu to see if it is something I'd be interested in. It looks promising since I am into sports and I love Blue Lock. Let's see how I like Haikyuu!
I recently finished watching the live action Kimi ni Todoke (From Me to You). I have not seen the anime but the clips I saw for the live action drew me in because of how scared everyone seemed of the main character when she was just trying to be nice. I thought it would be kind of similar to WataMote, where the main character was awkward and really struggled to make friends throughout the entire show. It turns out I was wrong. After only a few episodes, Kimi ni Todoke becomes a more mainstream slice of life/romance series. It wasn't what I expected, but I still enjoyed the show. The characters were likeable and since I don't watch a lot from the slice of life/romance genres it was nice for a change. However, there were times when I wanted to scream at the characters in frustration because their progression was so slow.
Today I finally started season 5 of The Crown. I've been meaning to watch it since it came out, but other priorities kept getting in the way. I'm still getting used to some of the casting changes due to the time skip. It was like that for me between seasons 2 and 3 as well. Some of the casting feels seamless, while for others it can feel like too drastic of a change from the predecessor even though all the actors do a good job in their own right. I'll adjust over the next couple of episodes, though, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
