My theme is most of the time an simple mix of suburban, city and forest. I would love to do a more unique theme, but I don't really have the skills to pull off something good looking out of my island, like with optical illusions, using a bunch of items to make it look like an building etc. Perhaps I'm just either too lazy or too impatient to spend more time into a theme.
Its not pretty good like all of them in google and tbh, im not impressed by my island. I use half of the entire island because i share the island with my family. So you know, small spaces xD
My island is very natural, I use The Path and filled a lot of space with trees and flowers, I also just let weeds grow (deciding on a natural theme was largely due to a "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" attitude because I usually can't be bothered to pick weeds anyway). I have a lot of cluttered areas with outdoor furniture too so my frame rate drops a bit in some areas but I don't really mind. Wish I had more inclines at my disposal tho
I could say that my island is a mixture of different themes, but all more or less "themed" areas are just so tiny...it's easier to say that my island has no set theme. I guess it's just a bunch of stuff I like to see around.
While I do enjoy looking at different themed islands, I absolutely can't imagine making one of my own. It just feels kinda...limiting? Like, if you have, let's say, a fairytale-themed island you just can't put a robot hero statue anywhere because it doesn't fit your theme :'D
My theme is a luxurious resort. If you have a lot of Bells you could stay in one of the four hotels based on the four seasons. Of the poll options, it would probably have a mix of Zen/Asian and Tropical themes at the moment. Its all really on how I feel at the given moment
idk if mine really has a theme, or at least not really a deliberate one! i wanted to keep it looking fairly natural and not too manicured in terms of terraforming or layout. there are a ton of trees everywhere, sparing use of pathways, and like a million flowers and a thousand weeds lmao. that said, i wouldn't say it's necessarily "forest themed" or anything like that, because i did want it to look village-y too. i have a couple plazas with fountains and flowers and places to sit placed here and there; i have a couple fenced-in gardens and whatnot.
i guess if i had to pin down a theme it was "a cozy & natural looking village that you wouldn't be shocked if a hobbit lived there," lmao
My islands still in the works and a mess as I'm pretty new to acnh but! Dark Cottagecore/forestcore with a graveyard in progress/lots of trees...... and cowboys and pirates to top it all off
Mine didnt have a theme before, but I think I'm gonna go back to my rural fantasy idea, since that was my original plan, and I dont know what I'm doing with my island right now
i answered "no theme" because i didn't deliberately pick a theme, and i don't really think it's enough "cottagecore" or "forestcore" to fall into either category. it's just... natural. there's nothing fancy. all my paths are the default in-game dirt path. there's a park on one side of the island and a pumpkin patch on the other. my museum has a simple butterfly garden next to it, and there's a small campsite area. there isn't much else. it's nothing special, but i like it for what it is.
My island definitely has no theme. I haven't worried about trying to put a theme together, as long as it feels like it's mine that's all that matters, lol
Natsukashi is supposed to be an old nautical town being renovated as a tourist destination. It has some zen and Asian aspects to its decor as well. Even thou nautical is usually associated with summer, my island is an autumn one cause I love the colours.
Willowisp is supposed to be a gloomy horror town all throu-out. Creepy and weird villagers with dark house exteriors, foggy weather, nighttime, wooded areas you shouldn't wander into and a deity to worship. I haven't started much on Willowips yet, other than getting the villagers I want. However I think I want to change it's them to somethin less horror and gloom. There's things I couldn't fit into Natsukashi that I really want to do, almost enough to scrap my original plans for Willowisp. It wouldn't be the first, second or third time I've scraped plans for my island. But I'm also reeeeeallly stuck on the whole horror vibes, so I think I'm going to try to combine the two.
I restarted my old island and its called "Destiny" I wanted it to be themed after "Destiny Islands from Kingdom Hearts" but I couldn't fit the world "isle" so I had to go with Destiny. I went for kinda of a park/forest theme, that I wanted for my old island that I couldn't do because of the layout. Now its better. Its in the signature of the dream address if you want to check out. I have to say my design skills have gotten so much better.
my island's name is Maui so the theme is mostly tropical! Within that I'm going for a very earthy, small village vibe and not a resort theme though. you can look at my island journal (link in my sig) for pictures
Fuggire, is gonna be a Dark Fantasy, more like a horror core, with an unsettling vibe to it. Very pretty, with a dark truth, and back story for everyone there
