What theme is your island?

My island is very natural; lots of trees, bushes and flowers, no path except the dark dirt path of the game and overall there is little to no symmetry. So I’d say forestcore but with a lot of the usual items you would find in cottagecore and a bit of farmcore!

Mine is just stuff I like at this point. There is the vague theme of medieval I guess. I've got a jungle area, a barbarian camp and a medieval village

but since i'm so far in, i don't know how to go about it.. other then putting all the buildings/houses onto the beach & flattening...

It is tedious and it takes a long time but it is very rewarding when you work hard and get your island look all pretty as you like it!

I started out with a pink theme and...well...I took it to the limit lol. So now my theme is pink/cute on my island. I love the colorful cute spaces I've created. I didn't really intend on doing that, I put down one pink path when I got island designer and the rest was history. Sometimes working with a specific theme can be limiting but in recent months I've been focusing more on what would make me happy rather than what would go with my theme. Maybe someday I'll switch it up but for now it's pink!

I think I really wanted to do something different when I got a regular switch last summer so my second island is more hobbit-y and cottagecore style. Everything is natural and more organic than my original island. It was a lot of fun trying to figure out how to style that after having only the pink for so long!

I love both of the themes of my islands. They're very different spaces but they are different aspects of me and the things I like. I'll forever be a themed island gal!

if i'm going to do pastal kidcore... then i'm gonna need alot more bells.. luckily i have a lot of bells in my bank that i was saving for my far future oc, penny's island... but i guess i can save that back up again... i have 369,000 bells in there so far... :>

Yeah, flattening takes a lot of bells because you have to move buildings maybe multiple times! I’ve flattened and redo my island. It was February and I am somewhat finally done but still working on little details also, it costed me a fortune, but it was worth it!

I’m not too familiar with kidcore but if you like flower fields why not? You could tuck it away if it doesn’t perfectly go with the theme

my original island didn't strictly have a 'theme', but it was more of a practical island than anything overly terraformed or decorated if that makes sense - shopping area, museum area with digsite, an outdoor gym, a cafe etc. i reset 5 days ago and am planning to have a more natural cottagecore/forestcore vibe if you will, although i'm not entirely sure yet about how i'm going to pull it off
