What villagers do you want on your island?

Can someone explain to me what Amiibo cards are?

Amiibo cards are like trading cards, with a tiny chip in them. Animal Crossing amiibo cards have villagers on them, that when scanned into either a 3ds, Wii U, or Switch, will give you items in compatible games. I won't go too into detail, but with New Horizons, you can scan in villagers or NPCs and get items or the villager to move into your campsite.

There are also amiibo figures, which are only the NPCs and other Nintendo characters.

I'm not exactly sure how it works on New Horizons but I hope that helped you out a little.

What are some of your dreamies? Are there any villagers you will invite through amiibos? Are you going to have a themed island, maybe revolved around just one species?

Edit: I never really have themes, but I really like an overgrown look. I'm definitely moving Marshal in with an amiibo, but my goal for New Horizons is to cycle through tons of villagers and experience all that I can.

My favorite of all time is Whitney the grey/white wolf. She was so mean to me in Wild World and end up becoming my best friend and the journey to make her like me was so magical! You don't get that with NL personality. I will literally reset a town until I get her.

The villagers I definitely want on my island so far are Marshal, Zucker, O'Hare, and Cyd.

I have Amiibo cards for the first 3 but getting Cyd will be a challenge since he's new. I might also add Daisy, Lolly, or Tia for my normal but I want to try and use Amiibos as little as possible. It's way more fun when you get random move-ins that you like/love.

I'm a fan of wolf villagers so my plan is to hopefully welcome an island full of wolves. Only problem is I'd then be missing out on other cuties.

I don't really mind. I'd like to get some new villagers I've never gotten before. Of course if I got past villagers I loved I'd be happy about it.

The only villager I have my heart set on getting is Boris. (Tangy and Ketchup would be nice, but Boris is who I'm aiming for)

Between the squirrel, sheep, octopus, and gorilla villagers, I'm sure I could populate my island twice over. I really want to get to know the newly added villagers, so I plan on taking what the game gives me before inviting all my favorites via Amiibo cards. That said, if the game doesn't give me Ricky right away, he'll be the first Amiibo card I use.

oooh I dunno! I like to see whoever moves in, just to meet everyone! There are so many villagers I've never seen before, I just enjoy them randomly moving in and out. Soleil really became my favorite in New Leaf even though I had never seen her before in my life, so I'm looking forward to getting new favorites in New Horizons!

I absolutely need my boys Sparro, Ed, and Eugene, there's no doubt about that. I also would really like to get Deirdre, Diana, and Merengue too.
