What was your most enjoyable job?

The library one I had, and the one I managed to land now which is also kind of library archive thing :D I love languages and books so it's awesome :D

technically this was volunteering but I worked at a charity shop for about 3 months and I loved it! me and my friend just spent the whole time in the back room sorting through clothes or pricing them. it was super chill and actually interesting to see all the different things people brought in! I also had a super chill job working at a donut shop but the manager arguably wasn't very good at managing so it was slightly less enjoyable lol, although I'm still upset I haven't been able to work there since March bc pandemic

It was easily my first job. I packaged roasted nuts for a local startup. My bosses were very nice and they sometimes gave me free samples. They were genuinely tasty too. It’s a shame they’re so expensive though…

Honestly? My current job is actually one I really enjoy. I’m just washing dishes, but the group of people that I work with are very nice and there’s literally no drama or unneeded tension. It’s rare for a workplace that everyone gets along, but it’s that way here. I can’t say that about other jobs I’ve worked, and let me tell you, I’ve had a lot of jobs.

My most enjoyable job is my current one (at an insurance company). It’s kind of challenging sometimes, but generally more on the relaxed side. My colleagues are nice and easy to work with.

My least enjoyable job was in an old people‘s home specialized on dementia. I worked there for two or three weeks maybe? It was not the work itself that was the problem (eventhough it was very stressful), but that none of my colleagues made the effort to show me how to do anything.

Probably the one I currently have. Not going to spoil what it is, but I will say it’s self-paced and a work from home job. Really, really grateful to have it during the pandemic.

I worked both retail and restaurant in the past and hated both of them. My retail job was my first job and I liked the pay I was making, but did not like my coworkers at all. My restaurant job was the opposite. I liked the people I worked with, but the pay and hours just weren’t enough.

I’m glad that I finally found something where I enjoy who I work with and where the pay and hours are both good. In the future though, once the virus isn’t as prevalent, I definitely want something full-time that meets all my expectations.

Update on this.

I have a full-time job now that meets and exceeds all my expectations, and I'm very grateful to have it. I love the work I'm doing, and my coworkers and boss are all really friendly and cool as well. The pay and career experience is nice too. Wouldn't trade it for anything!

Honestly, my favorite job was simply doing data entry for the post office. It was a simple job, didn't require much training, and I got to keep my head down and work alone. It gave me a lot of time to think and that was when I came up with new characters and story ideas that I could write down later. It also paid extremely well because it was a government job. I'd probably still be working there today, but we all got laid off because the reading machines kept getting upgraded until there was no more need for us.

My first graphic design job, pre covid. It was very fun hanging with everyone at lunch and the job was overall enjoyable. As soon as covid hit, it was work from home which was lonely and they shoved extra tasks onto us so they didn't have to hire more people. That's when it got stupid and I left.

Not a job (technically we were paid because we had our flights, accommodations, transportation, food for both days working and off covered but besides the money for food on days off we didn't receive cash) but I really enjoyed doing English camps in Japan. Probably the best experience of my life, I enjoyed the work itself and also the people I was with, being able to stay at and explore a variety of locations across Kanto, we would be bused back to inner Tokyo to stay at hostels when we had days off, etc.

I've done another camp here for something else before and liked it too. I'd definitely like to take part again someday, maybe as an organizer.

Only thing is that I couldn't do it full time, on camp days you're essentially working the whole day (maybe 8 am to 10 pm?) although you do have time to be alone with other counselors at night (we did everything together including taking baths!) For a 2 month period this was fine and I could've continued longer but if it was for the whole year I think I'd feel like I'm missing out on other things.

One of the counselors I worked with did a similar camp in Italy, I always wished I had the opportunity to do similar camps in other countries if anyone knows of them!
