What will you do differently in this game than previous animal crossing games?

I will not time travel. In every animal crossing game I time traveled so much. But recently with new leaf I haven?t been and I?m really enjoying it. It?s going to be hard when this game first comes out though! I also won?t buy all the items I want on here. I want to wait and get them myself. So what about you?

I also won’t be time traveling, at least, for the first few months of early game play. I want to set a certain time period for myself to play naturally. I say a time period because I know I’ll get bored of it if I don’t time travel at some point, especially if I really get into landscaping. Other than a select few villagers whose cards I own and want to invite into town, I am not gonna plan any villagers this time round and just accept whoever comes and goes.

I think I’ll do that with villagers as well. I definitely want beau. Hopefully he’s in the next game. I think the other villagers I’ll just let move in.

I'm not planning on resetting my game 10000000000 times and not get to finish anything ever. I'd like to see the same town grow with the years for once. Also no time travel.

When I bought animal crossing in 2013 I was like 14 or w5 and I have never tried to make my town pretty and rn I am a bit lazy to clean up my mess on ACNL bc the switch version is around the corner so yh I want to try to make my town pretty and I want trophies

Yooo I hope they have more events like flee market, fishing tournements etc i loved those
And more dialogue, in ACNL it feels so forced idk
And I want the old museum back, feels more cozy and I spend a lot of time there
I hope this release will be lots of fun, I can't really enjoy the 3DS version idk why played only 264 hours
I have the small 3DS, the first one, my hands are so large ~19CM in length lol) don't enjoy holding it
What I want to do different? Play a lot more

I won't be in such a hurry to get my "dreamies". I'll let them find their way to my town at their own pace. And in the meantime, I'll get to experience all these villagers I otherwise wouldn't have.

-Not gonna time travel at all and nit gonna reset.

New Leaf I've reset SO many times, but thinking back I'm pretty sure my first few towns were my favourite.

Just gonna go with the flow and see what it ends up looking out. Like I wont be plot resetting or anything so it's all natural

i'm going to try not to reset to get a decent looking town. when i first started new leaf, i had no idea what i was doing and i picked the very first town i was offered, and now i regret deleting it. as for villagers, i'll probably put in a villager or two that i'd really want in the new game, but i'll let the game dish me out the rest. i want my first town on the switch to feel genuine

I want to get a good layout for my first town. I just picked the first one given to me for New Leaf for my original town. I grew to really hate it over time, enough to reset it. I need to make sure my layout is good, since that's something you can't change.

I will do my best to not follow any guides, and just enjoy the game day by day in my own path. ^^

I'm not going to be so worried about symmetry when designing my town. I'm too obsessed with it that I can't be more creative. My town has flaws because of it and feels boring (I still adore it) compared to other towns that feel more organic because they don't bother with much symmetry. So hopefully I can be less obsessive about it in the next game!

I'm not gonna reset my town and I'm going to spend as much time as I need to find a town I love.

I just hope 3-tiered towns return because that would be so cool.

I am in the same boat regarding time traveling. I really do want to play the game organically, though I also have become extremely busy in my life with college and my prospective career. I don't have the time to play through a whole month every day obsessively, so I really do look forward to the more relaxed appoach I will take once it finally hits the stores. I have not purchased a switch as I do not play any other games aside from Skyrim that are compatible with it -- I am waiting with bated breath for whatever bundle they inevitably release that includes AC Switch.

I agree. I am obsessed with making sure everything is symmetrical in my town. I’ll try to not be so worried about it in my next town.

Like many people said, I'm not gonna time travel. When I first got NL i time traveled a lot, but eventually found that I actually enjoyed the game more without time traveling. I'm also going to try to control where my villagers plot, at least a little bit, just so they don't plot too close to my house or where I want to but pwp. I'm also going to try to choose a good map and town name the first time so I dont have to reset!

Firstly, like others, I'm not going to Time Travel at all. I want to get Nan in my town as she is my favorite villager and one that I want to spend time with like holidays. Once I have her, I'm just going to let villagers cycle in and out naturally. I always plot reset or did time travel tricks to get villagers to move out in New Leaf, but this time I want to progress normally. I only got pictures on April Fools in New Leaf and I want to get them all through friendships this time. Once I have all the pictures, I'll work on building a town I like and villagers I like. I want to take my time with this game as I know we probably won't get another for several more years.

I'm going to try my best not to time travel either. It's more fun and rewarding to me at least when you play it day by day and on real time. Also, I'm going to try to keep the very first town I make and not be picky with anything anymore. I used to not be picky when it came to my Animal Crossing towns, but I feel like I am now, but not anymore. :)

When I started my new leaf save for the first time, I had a really good town without time traveling, it was my first Animal crossing game and time traveling didn't even cross my mind until I started getting way too impatient with things in my village, it went downhill when I started time traveling cause I didn't realise bad things could happen. This go round, like the others, I'm going to try not to time travel other than moving the time a day ahead since alot of the times things happen I can't do it. Another thing I want to try is making a proper town my own way, allowing whatever things to happen, to just happen. One more thing, for some reason when I was younger I was just obssessed with the gold items, I had a golden room, made golden pathways, I even made the town flag a golden rose when I found out I could make a golden roses with the watering cans....I honestly rather not do that yet again and maybe find inspiration online on how to decorate my town.

For me, it's just going to be playing at my own pace.
I was just a young teen when New Leaf came out and seeing all the beautiful towns people made, I wanted to do something like that but honestly all that remains is a half finished effort because I gave up. I spent too much time trying to make my town look like others that it became a chore.
Started to play again now, if only to see my villagers and actually look into the amiibo stuff now that I have a few to use. XD It's been refreshing.

Certainly with the switch one, I'll be happy to let villagers come and go until I meet the ones I like. The exception being Pinky and Fang purely because there's a lot of memories tied to them. Certainly, I won't be fussed about plot resetting or anything like that.
Sure, I'll look at other towns. But for ideas on what I could do with mine. I think I've grown enough now to not look at towns and think "Man, mine will never be like that." but instead "Hey, that looks nice. I could do something similar for this part of my town."
I would like to say I won't time travel and I won't to begin with. But I know there will come a point where I either get bored or get busy and won't have the time to play, so I may time travel just to check up/catch up on things.

It's more just reminding myself that Animal Crossing is game designed to take at your own pace. There's no deadline, no rush to a finish. Just sit back and enjoy the game as the days come and go.
