I recently found out that I struggle with the word athlete. For some reason, I always want to add an extra 'e' in the middle: 'athelete'. I don't know why. I pronounce it based on the correct spelling. My brain just thinks there should be an extra silent 'e' there.
It's worsen/worsening. Sometimes embarrassing and occasion.
I've gotten used to typing "worst" that I often think there's a T when I type worsen. For embarrassing and occasion, I forget which letters are doubled, especially with occasion. I always thought occasion was spelled with a double s? Weird.
Of the top of my head I remembered these:
acquaintance (I usually spell it ‚accquaintance‘),
address (I usually spell it ‚adress‘)
embarassment (I usually type ‚emberassment‘)…
I know that there are more, but can’t remember right now. Words where a q follows a c are often a weakness (acquire being another word that confuses me). CQ is not a letter combination that’s common (or used at all?) in my native language.
Enviornment. I know it's wrong because I see the squiggly red line here, but I'm going to leave it. lol Why is there even an n in the word? Does anyone pronounce it? I don't in my accent.
Available and vacuum
I've been getting better with vacuum but I mix up the c and u when it comes to which one needs to be doubled, sometimes I do both and write it like vaccuum. There's probs more but those are the first to come to mind.
