What's good and bad about Twitter?

I am new to Twitter but find it a very useful tool. I am sure thee are lots more things that can and will be done with Twitter to make the experience more rewarding. In the meantime what do you like about Twitter and what don't you like about it?

One of the good things is I can follow the script writers for Doctor Who! *CoughNeilGaimanCough* But I can't find my friends, I've tried but how many people are there with the same names as my friends?!

I haven't tried Twitter.. I don't plan on trying it either.
I like their jokes, though.

I like Twitter because it's a great place to hear about news (thanks to trending topics and following celebrities).

I dislike Twitter because it doesn't notify you if someone replies to your tweets.

twitter doesn't affect me, i don't use it/have one/know anyone that uses it (except you guys i guess, though i don't go look at them)
