Hey everyone. I just wanted to check with everyone about what is or isn't saved when you update your dream. Please see the following:

Saved:
  • Decorations, furniture, villagers, residents, homes, etc.
  • The clothing each resident, including players, is wearing at the time the dream is saved.
  • Weeds, sticks, rubbish
  • Exact Time
  • Weather, like rain or snow?
Not Saved:
  • Visitors (Kicks, Gulliver, KK)
Is this a good summary? Anything else to add or subtract? I'm particularly curious about weather.

Well special villagers will not show up in the dream island, if you had glowing spots on your island it won't show either, Also I tested this with my 2nd island when I went to my dream island. If your users have on wand outfit it will not show up, instead you will see the character in their swimsuit or some other clothing they had on before. Thats all I know so far.

I've asked about this before, and I'm fairly sure it doesn't matter what clothing villagers are wearing at the time the snapshot is saved - they will always revert to their default clothing. I've been testing this while visiting dreams recently, and I've never seen a villager wearing anything but default outfits.

I've been meaning to ask about villager catchphrases, though - I'm guessing they always revert to the default too? I never tend to come across custom catchphrases in dreams, I assume it's to filter out anything offensive?

I remember seeing custom catchphrases before so I'm pretty sure they do save
