What's the weirdest HHP home request a villager has given you?

Her order includes the club floor and wall, so more a gym with vaguely musical theming. I think the idea is something like step aerobics or spin classes that are frequently set to music to make them, you know, more fun than just stepping on and off a little platform, but more dramatically so because Animal Crossing.

This is how I interpreted it too, especially based on the items. I don't think any of the suggested ones were instruments or anything to make music, just stuff like a stereo.

I think they intended for you to use other items in your catalog and not the ones in the Order, of course you do need to place down the items that the villagers want to see, but I found out a trick that if you just hide the items it will still work. Although sometimes if you have way too many items in their home they actually say "Its a bit too cluttered" I had that happened to me when I was building a "Bank theme" for Gala.

(TBH, I played the original HHD version and he requests the same thing, so I'm not surprised when I found out he still requests his 3ds request as well. I even designed his house to look elegant while having one part of his house being a public restroom as if you'd find one in stores.)

Yeah, I saw Alli’s a while back was the same mushroom request she had in the 3DS game. (And while I haven’t seen her in-game, Carrie’s in the trailer looked like it was her same family-friendly house with a yard IIRC.) I wouldn’t be shocked if a lot of the returning villagers had similar requests to the 3DS one, but maybe emphasize or include different options.

Now that I’ve got two-story houses if theirs seems too elaborate for a single house even with partitions, I tend to add a living space on the upper floor.

Just like everyone else I have to agree that my weirdest one is Lionel! It was such an oddball request i audibly laughed out loud on a discord vc, and then proceeded to tell everyone on the call about it which just prompted more laughter.

I didn’t do lionels at that time though because I wanna wait till I’ve unlocked as much as possible (double story toilet kingdom baby ) and since I have his amiibo card I wasn’t feeling rushed to do his! He’s really the only weird one I’ve seen tbh

Yeah its really hard to even do especially when you have roommate villagers in their home and then you have to figure what sorta theme to come up with.

You can use any items you want, the only requirement (in the "regular" mode) is to have those 2-3 items. However, the game also suggests items that may fit the overall theme and for her all of those were gym equipment and stuff like stereos. I'm sure you can add musical instruments to her house if you want, but that's not the point -- the point was about the theme she asks for and how it's meant to be a gym with music-playing things (like for gym classes), not a gym for a band to play in.

I looked at some of the requests. Ribbot, Petri, Buzz, Aurora, Savannah, Faith, Joey, Snooty, and maybe Curlos have some unusually interesting dream ideas (in addition to the aforementioned Sterling).

The only question is. How is she going to sleep in a gym? I seriously have to add beds to every home everytime I do a theme and it doesn't have a single "bed" in their order.

I’m not adding beds to everyone’s, but as soon as I can do 2nd floors, I’ll be returning to those houses to add bedrooms!

There’s also a couple items that don’t look like beds but technically count - including the weight bench. SHOULD you sleep on a weight bench with weights in place? Under no circumstances. Will the game treat it as a bed anyway? Sure.
