What’s y’alls beef with pears

No one wants pears as their native fruit in New Horizons. I feel like you guys are gonna make pears a hot commodity bc you?ll be resetting if you do get them. Let me turn you on to my favorite fruit irl.

Pears are great bc
1. Crunchy
2. Good shade of green
3. Pears have history, they date back to 1000 B.C
4. Most y?all shaped like a pear
5. No hate me too
6. Pears are related to roses

Show some compassion bro. Be a pear is a sea of peaches.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love pears IRL, especially Bartlett. They're so GOOD.

... but I've been stuck with pears as my native fruit SO many times I got tired of them by City Folk (and funnily enough, I got Pears as my native fruit in new leaf too so... yeah). If I somehow end up getting pears and both the island and villagers are great, guess I'll end up swallowing my pride and keepin 'em... maybe...

hey don’t get me wrong, pears are one of my favourite fruits irl but in-game their appearance isn’t all appealing?? just because i’d rather have peaches as my native fruit doesn’t mean i wouldn’t eat pears for every meal if i could; it just means that appearance-wise, i’d much rather have peaches lmao

I want grapes though, as I've always had peaches and I want a change.

I only use black, pink, and purple flora, so grapes would go well with that, but I will plant pears!

tbh i don't mind pears. i usually like to plant perfect fruits in my town instead of using regular fruits and the pear's perfect fruit just isn't really that great compared to apples or cherries. i think i may go for pears instead of gunning for apples because i feel like apples and peaches will be the most common fruit for fruit trades so i can have an edge over others lol i also kind of dislike how apples look on the trees during autumn, it's just too much red. but i also hate red and green so i may have to rethink this. honestly it all depends on the perfect fruit haha

lol the pears certainly aren’t ugly or anything and i will plant them along with the other non-native fruits once i can round them up; mainly i want peaches because if perfect fruit are returning and work the same way that they did in new leaf, you can only have perfect fruit trees of your native fruit and i really want perfect peaches lol :]

Not too sure, but I thought since PC had grapes and lychee's, maybe they will be an option.

On the forums, maybe. I just find pears visually uninteresting, that is it.
Also, I have tried pears and their texture is fairly unpleasant to me.
Would like to find a pear I enjoy one day.

I actually hate the taste of pears so much, but I didn?t know there was a beef with any fruit lol. I could maybe see someone using them in a green-themed town? Kinda how everyone uses peaches for cute/pink themed towns. But I always have every fruit in my town so I don?t really know. Apples and cherries are top-tier fruit, though. both in terms of flavor and aesthetics. Peaches are mid-tier, great aesthetically but too much effort to eat.
Oranges and pears are bottom-tier - oranges because the perfect fruit is boring in comparison to the other perfects, and pears because I didn't like them for the longest time, and now I do, but the perfect ones look like a super soft variety. Ew.

lmaooo oh no; that happened to me too except it was only perfect cherries with my native fruit being apples and i don’t think i’ve ever been more disappointed to see regular cherries lol
