What’s your comfort food?

Fried pork chops and pork tenderloin sandwich. One's a family recipe and the other's a regional favorite from my old hometown. Both remind me of home.

I looooove ice cream. Chocolate or mint or peanut butter, soft serve or in a carton. I don't know why, but it's just the absolute best.

grilled cheese and tomato soup is one of the big ones from my childhood!!

the other one is something my mum used to make that she always called rice soup but is in no way, shape, or form anything that resembles what actually comes up when you search up recipes for rice soup

Grilled cheese and tomato soup! ♡♡♡
My husband asked what I wanted for my birthday meal and that's what I requested.
Delicious 🤤

Warm food lol. I get cold all the time.
I really enjoy mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, eggs, casseroles, cookies, green tea, ... penn station sandwiches lol.
You can do alot of things with potatoes actually... and cookies are like one of the best things invented.

Karaage Don (Japanese fried chicken rice bowl), deep dish pizza (specifically from Burt's Place), and dark Suchard Rochers.

Any dishes, snacks, meal etc. you eat to feel better or feel better once you get the chance to eat it?

Homemade Vietnamese food, specifically soups for me. Pho, Banh canh ii (this is a family dish/recipe no one has ever made in my dad’s hometown back in Vietnam apparently), this goat soup my dad makes with taro, tofu, potatoes and other stuff

I have several different comfort foods. I suppose it depends on what I want! I always enjoy a creamy potato and bacon soup with a buttered roll or honey barbecue glazed wings 😄 I am a huge fan of hot coco for something sweet.

(In all truth? I can make any food my "comfort food" hehe)

A few days ago I was having some lovely intrusive thoughts feeling overwhelmed. Then I heated some leftover homemade pizza in the microwave and as soon as I took a bite, my mood improved for a little while. So I guess that would be a comfort food.

Mmmm Ramen. Damn it all to hell, now I want some!
***real ramen not that grocery store pre packaged crapola.
