What do you guys think a perfect animal crossing game would be like to you? For me, I would create an AC game with:

New Horizons graphics, terraforming/decorating features, villager activities, and museum!
New Leaf unlockables/progression, housing decor, main street, and holidays!
Wild World villager and npc dialogue, villager hobby system, and events as well!

You guys can add things that aren't in any Animal Crossing games as well! I just can't think up any new features right now haha
I was just kinda curious to see how everyone would create their own animal crossing game, and see how they all differ!

My perfect game would probably be quite a lot like NL but with New Horizons' graphics and small things from NH too like bigger storage, face customization at the start, bigger inventory etc. I would keep the pathing from NH but not the terraforming, because for some reason I really don't like it. I always find when I'm done water/cliff scaping it looks worse than when I started. I would also get rid of crafting and definitely get rid of tools breaking. The only other thing I'd change is make the dialogue better and take it from WW or something because neither NL or NH have good dialogue.

I would take a lot of stuff from the GameCube.
- Multi-tiered town
- 15 Villagers
- Villager dialogue
- Overall feel of the game

Then, I'd spruce it up with some upgrades.
- Wild World villager hobby system
- New Leaf NPC's and shop upgrades
- New Horizons inventory & storage and QOL improvements
- New Horizons ability to choose and change your look
- All the villagers from all iterations of the game!
- Gyroids are a must!

I'm not too fussed about graphics so I'd be happy with anything for that. I also don't really care for landscaping and such, so things like terraforming, pathing, and PWPs could stay or go. It wouldn't really matter to me because I would barely use them anyway.

I agree with a lot of these! Sounds like a good ac game 😊 I would also keep NH storage and inventory, the QOL updates are very nice. Surprisingly, I would keep tools breaking, BUT make golden tools unbreakable. I never felt much incentive to get gold tools in previous games, and I feel like that would make them more useful!

I wish I had played population growing cause I definitely wanted to include it in my post, but from what I've heard, I agree that the general feel of the first was very nice! It seems more like a living breathing town that went on with or without you. Wish more ac games were like that.

hm. i haven’t really given this much thought before, but i think a perfect ac game for me would include the following:

15 villager slots
dialogue similar to gamecube’s and wild world’s
all removed villagers (bow, sunny, carrot, etc), as well as every villager that’s in new leaf and new horizons
the bright nights festival, villager hobby system and acorn festival (including cornimer) from wild world
the postal office and system being run by pelly, phyllis and pete
everything from new horizons (the graphics, terraforming, villagers not being able to leave without permission, being able to relocate buildings, mystery islands, etc)
all npcs
the building + bridge designs, minigames (including hide & seek), pwps, perfect and tropical fruits, npc framed photos, special obtainable stationery, megaphone and furniture from new leaf
no limit on how many items you can order from your catalog per day
all events from previous games
all features and elements from previous games (every building, gyroids, being able to kick a ball around with your villagers, etc)
being able to hug my villagers pls
the roost being its own building, instead of being in the museum
a way to get rid of multiple flowers at once instead of having to dig/pick them all up one by one
QoL changes that new horizons is currently missing, such as an “add to cart” option at shops
being invited to hang out with villagers at places other than their house or mine, such as at the roost, able sister’s, etc
deep-sea creature models
new sharks to catch
new villager species', such as bats, axolotls, foxes, etc

that’s all i can think of rn, but tldr; i pretty much want a mashup of every animal crossing game to date lol. it’s probably impossible and likely will never happen, but an animal crossing game that includes all elements and features from the previous games would be *chefs kiss*.
