Splatoon When did you start playing the Splatoon series?

I started with the first one when it came out. It was the only game I ever really liked on the Wii U.

Sometime in 2018 I picked up Splatoon 2 and sunk a good bit of time into it. It was for sure a really fun game! I had no one to play with tho as all my friends were mad abouy the Switch replacing the 3DS.

I started a month or two after the first one came out, and I really liked it. I actually just got the second one for the nintendo switch too, even though i got it very late!

I played whenever the Wii U version came out. I did not get to play it often because my brother is the one who owned it. He eventually bought the Splatoon version of the Switch console and then I played on there a lot. Just recently bought my own copy so I have had to start over and it's a pain haha.

Since the beginning of the first one because I remember participating the Cats vs Dogs Splatfest. I've been very on and off with the series, but since it's summer time lately I've been playing it more because it's a good summer aesthetic. Still wish they did Splatfests or rehashed the old ones.

I've been playing Splatoon since the Wii U. I remember my partner playing it a lot, and I really enjoyed being a spectator of the game. One day I started playing Turf War on my own a few months in, and had a lot of fun painting the area closest to the base and not confronting any of the enemy teams XD Now I just play Salmon Run on the splatoon 2. I feel like the ranking system/matching system for Turf War and other games makes it less fun for me. Also, I really enjoyed Splatfests and being able to play with friends/ on the same team through the fest. It just seems different now.

I got it for Christmas in like 2015/16 and played it A LOT! I got into the fandom after playing 2

The day after the March '18 Direct. I had the money saved up for a Switch since launch, but never went through with it. Then the DLC was announced and I figured this was as good a time as any to finally get the thing and play Splatoon xD
(before Splatoon 2 I almost caved when Amazon had a fairly cheap Wii U bundle, but even then it was too much for just one game and I never liked the tablet controller)

Ordered right after the Direct, picked it up the next day, and only pkayed for about half an hour because the day was utter hell and I was too exhausted.

I didn’t have a Wii U so I only played Splatoon at a friend’s house ):

So I bought a switch right around Splatoon 2’s release date so I’ve had the game since day 1

Soooo yeah I started playing splatoon series since November 2017
Im playing it because when that time I got curious and I was like "what is this splatoon 2 game that everyone is playing?"
So I give it a shot and I love it!
I always practice all day until I get pro in any modes in this game
Soooo all my trying hard to be a pro gamer is successful
I'm so happy being like this
I also met some friends to play with in turf war and private battle but mostly i found them in private battle

Got Splatoon 1 upon release.

I wasn't rly looking forward to the game, but my friends on here convinced me to try the testfire and I was hooked LOL

Followed suit getting Splatoon 2 right when it came out

I wanted splatoon 1 but l never got it, so l got 2 the year it came out. I heard the 1st game had better players and maps...sad

I.... believe the day splatoon 2 came out. Not my most favorite game on the switch but very fun for sure~

I started on the very first Splatoon on Wii U. I used to play PvP a lot back then until the first few years of Splatoon 2. But nowadays, I've mostly been pretty much on my PS4/Xbox One and only been playing Salmon Run to relax myself (I hardly get relaxed though lol) or when I don't have anything else to do. It has been my "side game" for a while now.
