when does snow start to go away

awww snow is great for the first 20 odd days, then, after you caught all the winter fish/bugs, it looses its charm and i start to wish for it to melt

Right? Why can't the snow melt and come back occasionally instead of staying on the floor forever? It's not like real life when it comes to a situation like this -.- I miss seeing grass (although, I haven't seen it in my town at all yet because I started playing on New Years).
