When Would I Employed Resetti?

I'm hearing all over that ladders and pole vaults don't break, but I don't know if maybe my imagination is weak or something, but if that's the case, I can't imagine of a situation in which I would need to employ Resetti.

I'm sure it's probably not too hard to think of, but I really do be kinda not understanding what the point of Resetti is.

I ask because, the presence of his service is making me want to keep 2 pole vaults and 2 ladders in my pockets at all times, but I don't want to be using up my inventory space if I don't have to.

I think the rescue service is probably for situations where you might get stuck somewhere while terraforming.

It is for situations in which you are terraforming and manage to get yourself into a situation that you cannot get out of but dont want to terraform out. The pole vault can only go so far and items can block the use of the ladder
