My rep looks way cuter than I do but I would say our styles are pretty similar! Aside from some of the more fun items like the newsprint helmet or tulip hats I wear similar jackets/shirts/pants to the ones I usually put my rep in
not really. i kinda style my rep in whatever i think is cute at the moment. personally the character customization in acnh is pretty lacking imo. i wish we had more hairstyles, more eyes types, etc.
Not really. My intention with my playable characters is to make them into ocs, especially with Animal Crossing. I remember making my ACNH rep before the game came out with what customizations were revealed/shown through various means. The official art that was dropped definitely helped me out since they had a lot of art of characters with different customization options, and from there I chose a name that I liked which I hoped would suit her. I do like having some similar qualities sometimes, as I feel like sharing similar qualities can help you immerse yourself in the gameplay more, though I keep them subtle. My ACNH rep has a beauty mark under her right eye like I do, and we both have brown eyes, but that’s about it.
It depends. Most of the time, I try to make my main character resemble me in ways and my likeliness, same eye and hair colour, from clothing styles to similar colours and tones. Unless, I am intentionally aiming for something more over-the-top silly, overly cute, or to match a specific theme heavily. I like to change up her outfit depending on the season too, just to keep things fresh and to match the vibe of whatever’s going on in-game.
If I had infinite money irl sure. I usually dress my character in something I would personally wear and basically do the heavy themed outfits for events.
Clothes wise definitely, or at least what I’d want to wear if I had the same wardrobe. Hair wise I change up the style here and there but the colour remains the same. Eye colour matches too
As for outfits, I’m a lot more adventurous in animal crossing than I am irl I guess sometimes I dress my character in stuff I’d really wear, but most of the time it’s things I’d wear if I had the courage? If that makes sense
Am I a deathly pale ninja with red eyes irl? No...I wish I was though. I always stylise my character the same way in AC games. In NL, I was also a ninja. Every game I start out with basic clothes but I always build up so I end up with a full ninja uniform. Exceptions to this are forum events. I change out for those but I always end up changing back for my ninja attire. Why do I do this? Because I don't "see myself" in video games typically. I want to get lost in a world, not be reminded of it. The AC world is as fantastical as it gets with talking animals. I could theoretically dress up in clothes I would normally wear but that would bore me a little after 5 minutes or so. For AC, my ninja uniform is what suits me.
