Like my friend got Simon (who I also have) in her village and when I spoke to him he was like "Hi! My name's Simon, pleased to meet you!"

I don't think it would've been too difficult for Nintendo to put some scripts in when this happens, like them looking shocked and saying something like "MAX! What are you doing here?!" or being secretive about why they have a second home or saying they were here on holiday or sweating nervously and not giving a straight answer. It could've been quite funny and more feasible than having a 'different' Simon which is sorta weird. I think this is just laziness on Nintendo's part really. It could've been done!

I think the part that makes me sad is that I once visited a dream town and saw one of my past villagers. I talked to them and they acted like they didn't know me, but they do when I talk to them if I were to go to someone's town with a villager I had that moved out.

I find it sad too. I like how in dream towns your villagers recognize you so why can't they recognize you in other players towns. I think they should be nervous or say that this is their vacation home or something.

I think it'd be cool if they didn't introduce themselves to you as a small indicator that they already know you. Or they say something like, "Boy, you sure seem familiar!" or something.

I'd be satisfied if they even just made an explanation why there could be two of the same villager out there. "Hi, I'm Simon pleased to meet you! Eh? You already met me?! That's impossible! Unless... *gasp* I HAVE AN EVIL TWIN?!" The text flavor could be different based on personality of course.

It is pretty odd that they have special dialogues for your villagers while visiting dream towns but not when you're visiting a friend. I don't share any of the same villagers as my closest AC friends though luckily. We're all kind of spreading the love around. Heh.

It's NOT hard to code. I suppose the Devs just didn't expect we'll make a big thing out of it. I think the dialogues would have been quite unique & charming - thereby giving us more reason to revisit Towns that have our Dreamies.

Pippy nearly moved out a few days go; she was one of my original 5, I would be heartbroken if she forgot about me xD

This thread confuses me. When my brother still had his 3DS, he got my Marshal. When I visited him, Marshal still recognized me. Or are we talking about copies of villagers out there? Like I have a Bangle in my town and my fiance has one in his town and they aren't the same one.

That would be hilarious!

I think they don't recognize you when you visit a town that has the same villager that you have in your town at that time.

Like I was getting signatures in someone else's town and we both had Stitches. I thought he wouldn't sign my petition cause he lives in my town, but I wanted to say hi to him anyway. But this other Stitches didn't recognize me and my heart broke a little :(

This has been something I've always wanted on animal crossing. I hated going to towns and the same villagers I have/had didn't know me.
