Where should I put my cafe?

Advice is appreciated.

Having trouble deciding where to place it. As for the large space at the far west of the map, underneath the river, that's reserved for my campsite. I just haven't gotten around to plopping it down.

i think you should put it towards the open space closer to retail and the town hall. but that's just my opinion. everything else seems to far away and the C space is just too close to the plaza. but then again idk what your town looks like other than this little map so..

That's another idea. I'll consider it, thanks. It does seem a little far away, but that's probably intentional, seeing as I tend to favor spreading out the permanent buildings over keeping them in a complex.

I like point A because it's close to both of your bridges and your house :3

I voted D. It doesn't get in the way there. I don't like having the cafe block the view of the river which is why I don't like A. B is okay, but if you are going to build a bridge around there, then do it before you put the cafe down. C gets in the way of your beach access and I don't know if it's even possible to put it there given the proximity to the plaza. D is out of the way by the cliff and near the ocean which is kind of nice.

A is definitely the best in my opinion. With the river on the back and one side, you will mostly approach it from the front which would be nice. It would look really cute in that little nook.

B means your caf? would have its back to everything which is unappealing.

C looks like it's shoved off in the corner and too close to your beach ramp.

D is probably second best since it's near your house and you'd approach it from the front, but on your way to your house you'd approach it from the back.

I really like D. ocean side would really look good and the other options are kind of cramped in. If you decided to do a nice entrance with paths, bushes. and other pwps (like an arch or something) later on then the other options wouldn't really work well for it.

edit: althoughhh if you plan to move that villager out below A then that's another good option.

I appreciate all of the opinions. It's true that having the building facing its back to the rest of the town might be an odd choice, so I'll probably opt out of B unless I spontaneously think of a pro for that particular spot.

Unfortunately, underneath A can't be an option because that's where Diana's house existed as one of my original villagers. I definitely don't plan on booting her out anytime soon.

A is the nicest out of all 4 options in my opinion

I was going to pick C originally because I thought it would look nice next to the plaza, however it would make accessing the beach ramp a bit annoying, so I went with B. I think it could look nice there, especially because it's tucked in a nice little river bend, and it also seems sweet to imagine sipping coffee next to the river.

Also, if you put the campsite below it like you mentioned, you can put a bridge there and have a nice little 'camp and coffee' area.

I would definitely recommend going with A. PrincessAurora made a good case for that spot and convinced me.

Otherwise, I would recommend taesaek's suggestion of putting it closer to or between Re-Tail and the Town Hall. It seems like the most fitting place, and if it blocking the view of the river like Red Cat mentioned is something that would bother you, you wouldn't have to worry about that this way.

C looks way too cramped despite the concept of the caf? being next to the event plaza being a nice one. It simply doesn't look feasible with this map. Meanwhile, D seems a bit too far removed from a good portion of the villagers so I don't like it that much.

All great opinions. There is enough space for C to work, but like a few people have said, it might make accessing the beach ramp obnoxious. I may just place my police station where the second most popular choice(D, at the moment) is.
